What do games like Final Fantasy, Super Mario Odyssey, and Fallout all have in common? Well, they’re all video games that are discussed in the Triple Click podcast! The show is hosted by three gaming enthusiasts, and they all love to discuss hot topics in video games, like the best quarantine games and those fun Jackbox party packs. But they also delve into topics that many gamers don’t talk about often, like gaming language, tropes, and food. So in short, it’s fun and entertaining to listen to, but it may also teach you something about your favorite video game.
The Hosts: Let’s say hello to the three hosts: Kirk Hamilton, Maddy Myers, and Jason Schreier. Kirk may bear the same name as the captain from Star Trek, but he’s much more musically gifted. In fact, he can play a variety of instruments, and he also hosts a fun podcast called Strong Songs. He’s also a huge fan of video games, especially when it comes to Bloodborne. Maddy has many talents in the music and writing world, but she’s best known as a video game critic. She also loves fighting games like Street Fighter, as well as creating synth-pop music. Jason is based in New York City and loves to utilize his journalism skills to write about video games. And if the best selling book Blood, Sweat, and Pixels rings a bell, just know that he’s the author of it.
The Guests: There are no guests on the Triple Click podcast, but there is an episode where the hosts answer fan questions (which makes those listeners kind of like brief guests).
Why You Have to Listen: You could probably finish Triple Click in less than a week since there are only 7 episodes thus far. It’s a newer podcast that came out on April 22, 2020, but each episode is full of gaming news, debates, and fun discussions. For example, is it bad to use a video game guide? Why are people so obsessed with the Final Fantasy series? And is there going to be another Fallout game after its 76 release (which was met with mixed reviews)? Well, the only way to find out is by listening to the Triple Click podcast!
