Delivery Season 1 Several former acquaintances receive communications from an old friend regarding his time as a courier.
One of these "friends" is sharing these communications in hopes of tracking down this missing, and apparently, sick old friend.

Is this friend who he purports to be? What are his true motivations for searching for this infirmed individual?

The recollections from the "old friend" are of a curious nature and whilst, in the beginning, appear to be unrelated there is the common thread of the courier company.

The communications evolve to include some "interviews" with other individuals, across the globe, who have had similar encounters whilst employed within the logistics industry.
When some of these accounts reveal similar elements, a more sinister thread is uncovered.

Ella Orr – starting from scratch Ella Orr’s parents came to the UK from Mauritius in the 1960s and, understandably, they wanted Ella to do well academically. But they also wanted her and her sister to have a wider outlook and sent them to dancing and music lessons, which Ella loved, so much so that she choose to do a creative arts degree. But once thoughts turned to earning a living, musical theatre didn’t seem like a lucrative or sensible path, so Ella was encouraged to go into teaching. More than a decade into her primary education career, Ella found that constant inspections, lack of self-worth and pressures on the children were causing her mental health struggles and she realized that she needed to make a change. She was able to revisit her theatre skills when she worked in drug education for a charity. A few decades later Ella’s mother passed away and, inspired by her mum's zest for life, Ella signed on to a course in social media marketing, as one of the oldest students on the course. Little did she know that in doing so she would learn as much about herself as about the topic itself. Artfully Protesting: The Work of Art Against Police Violence In today's episode I will be looking primarily at one single case study, Basquiat's Defacement - The Untold Story, brought to the Guggenheim Museum in 2019 by curator, author and activist Chaedria LaBouvier. The purpose of this episode is to examine the ways that black artists engage with issues of injustice (specifically as it relates to racist police violence) be voice their opposition of it. You can find Chaedria on Instagram. You can also read up on the exhibition as well as the racism she spoke of while working with the Guggenheim in an article published by Essence.

From today's episode I ask two things of you. 1) That you sign the petition for Brittney Griner's release back to home. And if you would like to learn more about the details of this story you can read this article or check out this video by CNN and another by Fox News. 2) My second call to action is to join me in 40 days of prayer over the injustices and radicalized violence that continues to plague our country. Thank you guys for tuning in and I can't wait to rejoin you all in the next season!

Yelling (MM #4155) It's been a few years, but I know I've talked about my habit of yelling at the TV. Now it's honestly not that extreme; it's more like talking back. I've done it for years, and it doesn't matter if I'm alone or if someone's with me in the room. Recently I've noticed that my wife has started doing it, too. Maybe she's done it a few times before, but lately, it's happening more often...

What I'm Listening to Now (Ep 124) On August 13, 2021, I posted a first-of-its-kind episode in which I touted some of my favorite podcasts. I mentioned four which were especially encouraging to me and my spiritual growth at the time. Here I am a year later (still loving the Bible Recap and the Ten-Minute Bible Hour) with a new list of programs which spur me on to love and good works. Give this episode a listen and then see if one or two of the six shows I preview might be right for you.

#87 - Putting in the Work “It was one of those sessions, I went in just for a shoot around and the varsity team were training. I was like, “Oh shit, these guys are tall. They're fast. They're athletic. I do not fit in here at all.” I couldn't believe that that was the standard of basketball that I was trying to get to. And that was just in the division two level. I gotta put in the work here to be able to play with these guys cause they really know what they're doing.”Episode #87 of The Hope Initiative with Zac Stevenson.Zac Stevenson is a local Melbourne lad with a skillset and general nature I admire. Within that subject, I talk about how trying to keep my businesses running while I was in a non-meaningful relationship was the hardest thing that I tried to maintain when my whole being with him was nothing more than a lie. We also talk about trauma's and how it can prevent us from getting into other relationships.

Ep. 63 • Audie Plays Scavenger Hunt + Gigwork Issues w/ Bandz • 7/20/22 • The Why Run?! Podcast LIVE ‼ This episode was initially recorded on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022.
Hey everyone!! Its been nearly two years since I've been back on Podbean doing LIVE shows, and I must say, it was very awesome to be back. But I'm not the only one that has stepped back into the building after two years but, Bandz has also been MIA. Not no more!! Bandz and I are back, and we're coming back stronger then ever.
We kicked off this episode with a visit from @Fox_Da_Cypher_ from Instagram; and then from there, Bandz and I discuss the troubles that we share while we do food deliveries. I, myself share a time when I did deliveries and it was the most bullshit experience I've ever had in my one year of doing actual food delivery.
Listen while we share with you all our issues when doing the giglife.

Ep. 64 • I'm Hurt!! + Doing Deliveries in Flagstaff, AZ (Ride-along) • 7/21/22 • The Why Run?! Podcast LIVE ‼ This episode was recorded on Thursday, July 21st, 2022.
Hello hello everyone!! In this episode, I drove nearly 100 miles to gather more tools for my furniture project to only find that they didn't have what I needed. So, what could I do to make my trip worth it?! I decided to do deliveries. I turn on the apps and you all got to ride-along with me LIVE as I tell stories about why I was so quiet as a child, and how I never dealt well with when I was being crushed one. This one was a very funny episode and I enjoyed reliving it when I was editing out all the static and the dead air. Enjoy!!

Ep. 65 • CRUNCH!! + Life Lessons w/ Bandz & Taking Chances in Dating • 7/23/22 • The Why Run?! Podcast LIVE ‼ This episode was recorded on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022.
In this episode, Bandz goes toe-to-toe with a centipede. Lol No, not really. But he does go into how he'd take a life sized centipede down. Me, myself personally; I'd lay it on him with one CRUNCH lmao!! Bandz goes into life lessons while changing a flat tire with a security guard on his back. He explains his actions and his punishments to the guard as well as to the audience. Following, we get a call from Chill Will (@chillwill_cle on Instagram) about taking chances in dating.

Ep. 66 • We All Really Don't Benefit • 7/31/22 • The Why Run?! Podcast LIVE ‼ This episode was recorded LIVE on July 31st, 2022.
In this episode, I discuss in a livestream that I had a dream about a snake. I go into what the snake signifies in my culture and what respect we have for the snake; but when it's seen in a dream, it's a whole different meaning. I look into both sides as far as the snake really giving me a warning, or maybe I'm completely wrong. But this does not mean I'm going to ignore it completely. I believe that a lot of things in nature have their meanings, and whose to say that it's bullshit still when things DO happen that seems way more than it being a coincidence. What are your thoughts?!

The Father of Christian Nationalism Gerard L.K. Smith On this Episode of Dad Is Not A Noun I was curious about who came up with Christian Nationalism/ Christian Nationalists because in our political climate there’s been a surge of politicans and talking heads who branded themselves Christian Nationalists. So I found out in the late 30s and early 40s Gerard L.K. Smith, a minister and political agitator with racist ideology blended faith and the flag as his Christian Nationalism Crusade which he founded The America First Party. He ran first president in 1944 and lost.. He was very outspoken about being racist and anti-Sesmitic which rallied his base which felt they were losing their country. Sounds similar? Right!!! He started a magazine and radio show called The Cross and Flag, the Christian Nationalist Crusade's magazine, claimed that six million Jews were not killed in death camps in Europe during World War II but instead immigrated to the United States during the war. He passed away in 1976, but his legacy is strong in the surge of Christian Nationalists today. Here's an audio of his radio show with his wife.

When An Apology Isn't Enough When we speak about reconciliation we first must note that an apology alone is not enough.
The following definitions are from Webster's Dictionary:
An apology is a formal justification, defense, or excuse; an admission of error accompanied by an expression of regret.
An apology without an admission of error (stating the offense) and an expression of regret is not an apology.
Reconciliation can’t take place without an apology.

What do you do when the apology you receive just isn't good enough? Is that such a thing and if so what do we do with that?

225: BS is in the Eye of the Beholder James and Jean read an article critiquing Personal Knowledge Manager (PKM) and relate some of the ideas by the author and the commenters to how we feel about GTD.

We do not use the word BS spelled out (like the original post), because we don’t want the Explicit tag, and honestly, it’s not really our style to use expletives.

113: Bonus episode - They Knew I know, you might be surprised to see What Was That Like show up in your podcast feed today. New podcast episodes come out on Fridays every two weeks, and today is not one of those “new episode” Fridays.

What I have for you today is a bonus episode, because I want to introduce you to another podcast that I think you’ll love, because I know how much you enjoy hearing people tell their very personal stories. I love those stories myself, which is why I’m subscribed to this show.

The podcast is called The Secret Room, and it features anonymous guests revealing true stories – stories they’ve never told before. Sometimes it can be a tragic one, like witnessing the murder of someone you know. Or it might be about having a secret love affair with someone on death row. The variety of stories and topics are endless, because everyone has a secret.

The host of the show is my friend Ben, and I think he and I are similar in a lot of ways. He’s very empathetic as the guests come on the show and talk about these things that are very personal to them. Ben and I talked about this idea, and we thought it would be nice to share each other’s podcast with our audience. I’ve only done this once before with another podcast, because I have to be 100% sure that the content I bring you is something I know you’ll enjoy. The Secret Room definitely meets that requirement.

So today you’ll hear Caroline’s story. When she was a kid, she accidentally discovered a shocking secret that her dad was keeping. What happened after she confronted him would change her world forever.

If you like this episode, I encourage you to find The Secret Room on your favorite podcast app and subscribe. I’ll see you next week.

Power Half Hour 72: Arenas and Stadiums, Rockers and Wrestlers Selling Them Out This week, Chad is heading home to go to a concert, fulfilling a promise years in the making.
So on this week’s episode of the Power Half Hour, Greg and Chad talk about finales and retirement, like Motley Crue’s final tour years ago, and Ric Flair’s retirement match at Wrestlemania 24 and his “last match” later this summer.
Now I’m not allowed to be cynical and just say these guys want a payday. Yes, being in front of a crowd is all they know (as well as being in front of ladies and comical piles of illegal drugs), but we can all agree that none of these performers are in their prime.
Still, if you want to support these aging acts (like I know you do), pitter patter. Enjoy yourself. Just realize that most of the people in the crowds are grandparents by now.
The post Power Half Hour 72: Arenas and Stadiums, Rockers and Wrestlers Selling Them Out appeared first on Greg and Chad's Power Half Hour.
Power Half Hour 73: Where Are They Now? This week on the podcast, Greg and Chad discuss where the hell they’ve been in the last month.
Greg was on 1.5 vacations, and Chad has been busy as well, travelling to the Midwest more than once (why Chad, why) plus having a girlfriend. And Greg has cleaned up a lot of puke in the last week.
So it was almost a month since last we got together. We missed each other. And most importantly, we missed you.
