Movies That Raised Us Once Upon A Time, Mo and Christina met in the big apple. While neither became Princess of Genovia or found their long lost twin sister, they did bond over the movies that put those ideas into their heads. If you scour the city looking for your very own Austin Ames, or, like to dream about the days when you preferred Lip Smackers to Lip Kits, look no further. Sit back and relax, as Mo and Christina cover everything about formative movies, flip phones, and growing up on Movies That Raised Us.

We'll discuss this along with a closer look at Vecna in Stranger Things, Seasons 1-3, and how Grant Gustin could replace Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DCEU. THIS is Tatooine Sons!

Raised in New Jersey, Europe, Boston, L.A., and now Nashville, TN. As a teen, I was hell-bent on filmmaking until music took over, landing me in Hollywood as a long-haired heavy metal singer. A storyteller, just louder. I paid the bills by working as an extra on sets with everyone from Tarantino to Zemeckis and soaked it all in. Feeling horribly homesick, there’s absolutely NO WAY Noodle will survive four whole weeks at camp. But as Hurricane Hilda approaches Camp Hillside, Noodle’s entire existence is turned upside down. It isn’t until Noodle faces her fears—and discovers some unlikely friendships along the way—that her misery turns into some pretty amazing memories. Wyatt Russell on 'Under The Banner Of Heaven,' Talks About His Darkest Role Yet, Returning To The MCU, & More [Bingeworthy Podcast] In today’s episode of Bingeworthy, our TV and streaming podcast, co-host Mike DeAngelo dives back into “Under the Banner of Heaven.” The show follows a devout Mormon detective Jeb Pyre (played by Andrew Garfield) whose faith is tested as he investigates a brutal murder seemingly connected to an esteemed Utah family’s spiral into LDS Mormon fundamentalism and their distrust in the government. There’s a terrific supporting cast involved too, including Gil Birmingham, Sam Worthington, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Denise Gough, Wyatt Russell, Billy Howle, Chloe Pirrie, Adelaide Clemens, Rory Culkin, and more.
Of the many stand-out performances on the show, Wyatt Russell’s Dan Lafferty stands out as a particularly warped yet human take on how religious fundamentalism can lead to a dark moral-bending spiral and, ultimately, a complete loss of decency. Wyatt Russell sat down with host Mike DeAngelo to discuss getting this particularly dangerous role.

1989: sex, lies and videotape: Rob Lowe and James Spader (Erotic 80s Part 12) American independent film is launched into the mainstream by Steven Soderbergh’s sex, lies and videotape, starring James Spader as an impotent man who gets off on filming women talking about sex. Videotape also plays a role in a Spader film released almost simultaneously, Bad Influence, in which he plays a meek yuppie at the mercy of alpha male Rob Lowe – who was trying to rehabilitate his career after a tape leaked shot by the actor and documenting his real-life threesomes — one with a 16 year-old girl. We close the first half of this season talking about Lowe, Spader and how camcorder mediation of sex changed pop culture forever. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Robert Steven Goldstein takes on a new perspective with “Will’s Surreal Period” After reading just a couple chapters of Robert Goldstein's fourth novel, “Will's Surreal Period,” I have to say I was completely hooked, so it was a blast to speak with the writer on the various ins and outs of the characters, theme, and setting. Here's a quick look at the synopsis:

When William Wozniak, a San Francisco artist who has struggled for years in obscurity, suddenly and inexplicably finds himself painting in a startlingly new surreal style, he is embraced by the art world.
But health issues lead him to a neurologist, where Will discovers that his new artistic style is the result of a life-threatening brain tumor. He must decide whether to have surgery to remove it—relegating him to painting once again in the drab style that defined his years of anonymity—or allow the tumor to grow and most likely kill him.

To make matters worse, William and his wife Rosemary are struggling financially, having been disowned by William’s father Arthur, a cantankerous and homophobic old widower. Arthur is cared for by his younger son, Bertram, in a big house in Scarsdale, New York. But when Bertram, a gay man in the closet due to his fear of being disinherited, finally comes out, Arthur decides to switch allegiance to Will and move to California.

A mess ensues.

And it remains to be seen whether Laurel, a portly, progressively minded California real estate agent who’s taken an improbable liking to Arthur, will make the situation better—or worse.

Robert and I look into the choice that his main character has to make and how this blends with the other storyline of the dysfunctional family. We talk about his choice to retire in his 50s and pursue writing and how it's defined him as a person. Robert shares the stories of his first three novels, how they're all tied together and at the same time, stand alone.
These are the Patches of Our Lives Mike and Manny chat about finished products that was released back before the internet and post internet, and how patches are easier to provide constant updates and upgrades. Has the ability to release games without cleaning most of the bugs and glitches and just patch the game after release created a bad environment for the gaming community or the gaming industry? Do gamers see a benefit in helping correct these bugs and glitches? While waiting for the code updates to Aaron's processing UI, Manny and Mike mention some games from the pre-internet times that somehow got greenlit and were disasterous failures. Maybe if those games could have gotten patched like they can now, those games might have succeeded, or maybe they would have died before release. So come sit at the corner of Reality and Nostalgia with the Banter Banter Boys and imagine what could have been saved by a patch and what could have been great if it wasn't rushed to market with a fist full of glitches.

Talkin' Thrones Episode 54 - Book of the Stranger We're back with another episode of Talkin' Thrones, and its a big one today, Season 6, Episode 4, "Book of the Stranger." It can become easy to forget about some of the smaller moments that help set up for the larger, more memorable moments like Battle of the Bastards, or even something like the Door next episode, but its episodes like these that are so crucial, because they help to directly set up for a lot of the bigger moments to come. Jon has just completed his final act as Lord Commander of the Night's Watch and is about to leave when the first major reunion happens, with Sansa finally arriving at the Wall, marking the first Stark reunion since the pilot. Jon is not yet ready to emerge into the real world, but Sansa makes him see sense once Jon receives a threatening letter from Ramsay. At Winterfell, Osha attempts to trick Ramsay as she once did Theon, but is unable to and pays dearly for it. In King's Landing, Cersei learns a crucial detail and is able to form an alliance with Olenna, while the High Sparrow continues to play his games with Margaery & Tommen. Theon arrives home for the first time in years to learn of his father's death and his sister's attempts for the Throne. In Meereen, Tyrion negotiates a peace treaty with the slavers to less than satisfactory reactions. Littlefinger plots his next move after arriving back in the Eyrie. It all ends with a brilliant fireshow, with Daenerys carrying out her revenge plot against the Khals and showing the Dothraki why they should follow her. Cats & Dogs On this episode, the 2022 Summer Blockbuster Extravaganza gets all fun for the whole family with a polite, not-at-all crude conversation about the 2001 smash hit, Cats & Dogs! Is the CGI better in this film than in any of the prequels? How weird is it hearing Tobey Maguire voice this Aw Shucks gentle puppy? And are we to believe that Jeff Goldblum fathered this WASP child? PLUS: ScarJo and Colin discuss each other’s work!
Cats & Dogs stars Jeff Goldblum, Elizabeth Perkins, Alexander Pollock, and Miriam Margolyes, with the voices of Tobey Maguire, Alec Baldwin, Susan Sarandon, Sean Hayes, Joe Pantoliano, Michael Clarke Duncan, Jon Lovitz, and Charlton Heston; directed by Lawrence Guterman.

Diany Rodriguez talks about her role in Hulu’s ’The Valet’ Diany Rodriguez recently joined host Elias in the cave! Diany can be seen starring in Lionsgate and Hulu's multi-cultural comedy film, "The Valet" opposite Eugenio Derbez, Samara Weaving and Max Greenfield. A remake of the 2006 hit French film "La Doublure," the American version follows parking valet, Antonio (Derbez), who is enlisted by movie star, Olivia (Weaving), to pose as her boyfriend to cover for her affair with a known married man. As a valet, the hard-working Antonio usually flies under the radar but his ruse with Olivia thrusts him into the spotlight. Diany shines as Natalie, the owner of a neighborhood bike store where Antonio is a regular.
On the television side, Diany stars on NBC's long-running crime-drama series, "The Blacklist" alongside James Spader. Joining the series in the ninth season, she plays Weecha Xiu, Raymond 'Red' Reddington's (Spader) new bodyguard after Dembe Zuma (Hisham Tawfiq) joined the FBI. With a tough physical presence and a hardened demeanor, Weecha is more than capable of defending herself against anyone who might threaten her or her associates.

Really Instagram? Is this what we're doing? Instagram thinks it's funny provide reels for people to use to promote their social media accounts and then penalize them. How is this okay? Why even provided the product if within a couple of months you are going to send false accusations and delete people's personal videos? It's disrespectful it's hurtful and it's rude! Do better!!

Wondery Presents: The Execution of Bonny Lee Bakley On May 4, 2001, Bonny Lee Bakley was found fatally shot in a car on a dark North Hollywood street. The prime suspect was her husband, famed actor Robert Blake. But Bonny, a longtime con artist, had plenty of enemies. She left behind a trail of men she’d scammed, and she had a volatile relationship with Christian Brando, the troubled son of movie star Marlon Brando. Not since the O.J. Simpson case had the eyes of the nation been so fixated on a homicide. The search for Bonny’s killer took detectives on an eleven-month odyssey across the country and through Hollywood's underbelly of hustlers, drug addicts, and would-be hitmen. It would be the most expensive murder investigation in LAPD history to date. This is the story of Robert and Bonny’s toxic relationship, her shocking murder, and his chaotic trial. Did actor Robert Blake kill his wife? Or was the murder someone else's vendetta? From Wondery, and the team behind the hit series Hollywood & Crime (The Dating Game Killer, The Wonderland Murders, Death of Starlet) comes a six-part series about love, obsession and fame gone wrong.
