#34 Copic Marker Maintenance & Handling Today we’re talking about a couple of very important things you need to know if you have Copic markers, or are thinking about starting your collection … maintenance and handling.   I want to start by laying out my credentials … I am a certified Copic instructor, and an Authorised Copic Stockist in Australia. I have been using Copic markers for over 13 years, and I created the Copic Subscription Box as a way to help crafters build their Copic colouring skills, as well as their marker collection. And, while I do know a lot about Copic markers, I don’t receive updated information from the TOO Corporation, so I have to work a lot of things out on my own and keep an eye on various online forums and articles.   As part of my business I offer a Copic reinking service, and last year I noticed a marked increase in the number of extremely dry markers that were coming in for reinking. In every single case, extremely dry Sketch markers had a crack inside one lid, always the lid on the Super Brush nib end. In most cases the marker could not be reinked, and I was left with the awful task of letting each customer know that they needed a new marker. So, I started reading up on it, and I learned a few things … which is how this episode was born. I want to share that information with you so that you can make your Copic markers last for many years. Episode 158: Of Fish and Pens After dealing with two separate illnesses, the boys are back to record a new episode to catch up on all the great goings-on in the pen world. Although, how do you top the introduction of the greatest pen ever made in the history of anything made…ever? Answer: you don't. You only make accessories (like the Endless Companion leather pen case) for the greatest pen ever made. So, now that the entire pen industry is ruined, we could only talk about different topics – like fish, and the Last of Us Finale (spoilers at the end of the episode).

189 I want to do it this way In this episode: Bias binding; finished objects; crafting chaos; plum blossoms; works in progress; and palette decisions. Lilly's retro-vibe pinnies are finished! Several knitsibs have expressed an interest in an adult-sized version. I'm still looking, but if you know of something similar, drop a comment at the website, please. The pattern is Bias Trimmed Apron from Little Things to Sew, by Oliver & S, in lightweight linen fabric with bias binding in designer fabrics purchased from this UK eBay seller. The Sock is not at a very interesting place, but there has been a bit of a progress in this WIP. The yarn I'm using is Coop Knits, Socks, Yeah! in the colour Labrodorite. Lastly, Gene Marshall is a rabbit hole. You have been warned.

Episode #236: Anna Hrachovec of Mochimochi Land On today's episode of the Craft Industry Alliance podcast, we’re talking about knitting cute things with my guest Anna Hrachovec.

Anna is a Chicago-based designer and artist who loves to knit little creatures. Just about everything is more fun in tiny knitted form, so she’s inspired by everything! Under her designer brand, Mochimochi Land, Anna has created hundreds (and hundreds!) of knitting patterns that can be found in books and on her website (mochimochiland.com) and Ravelry. When she’s not making cute stuff out of yarn, Anna is busy making stop-motion animations with her woolly friends. Her heart-knitting gnome is one of the most widely shared GIFs in the world. Her first children’s book, Catside Up, Catside Down, is due out in September and is now available for preorder.
