Praying For A Good Family Environment_Day 4 This week we are praying that we take off the fire suit and let God be the one to put out the fires. This allows us time and peace to create an environment in our family that everyone wants to be part of. This is not an easy task, but it is necessary for the sake of your family. Day 1: Are you tired of always putting out fires? Philippians 4:8 Day 2: You aren't alone in the fire! Daniel 3 Day 3: Look for the good! Philippians 4:8 and Ephesians 6 Day 4: God is training you! Philippians 4:11-20 and Ephesians 6 ACTION STEPS: Ask God to help you see the good happening in your family, and find something to be grateful for in your family every day. When your kids have an issue, step back and let them solve the problem. Ask questions if necessary instead of telling them what to do. (I know this is very hard for some of us.) What does your family enjoy doing? Make a list. If you don't know, ask. Find things that everyone has in common. Start small and plan 30 minutes a week doing a fun family activity. Join us this week Monday-Thursday as we pray for a good family environment. FOCUSED PRAYER: Jesus, Thank you for the family you have given me. I want my house to be a place of safety, peace, and love. I know I spend my days trying to fix everyone else's problems and have a hard time enjoying this life you have blessed me with. Help me take off the fire suit and let you be God, trusting that you will take care of the things I can't and shouldn't. I trust you will use every situation my kids go through to draw them closer to you and place them on the path you have for them. I will start looking for the good and focus on that. In Jesus' Name, Amen! THIS WEEK’S RESOURCES: E.N.J.O.Y. Introducing the "Simple Families" Podcast This is a surprise mini-episode as part of a fun new series I am going to be doing once a month where I introduce you to other wonderful podcasts that might bless and benefit your life. These shows are all produced by or part of the podcast network that I am apart of, Cloud10 Media. It has been so rewarding for me to collaborate with other podcasters who are working hard to get their important messages out into the world. The show I am featuring today is a podcast that I love called Simple Families, which I have been listening to for several years. The host Denaye Barahona is a mother of two who also has a PhD in child psychology, so as she says in her podcast intro, "you're going to hear conversations that are based in research but more importantly real life." Simple Families is a podcast for parents who are seeking a simpler, more intentional life, covering topics such as minimalism with kids, positive parenting, family wellness, and decreasing the mental load. For today's mini-episodes, I hand-picked an excerpt from Denaye's show to air for you so you could get a taste of her work, and it comes from a recent episode she aired titled "Raising Critical Thinkers" with guest Julie Bogart. There was a segment in that conversation that struck me to the core, all about how important it is to allow people in our families, including our own children, to have different beliefs from us and to know that they are still deeply loved, valued, and HOME when they are with us. You are going to want to listen to every word of this excerpt from the Simple Families podcast and then head on over to Denaye's feed to listen to the entire episode!**Listen to the full episode here, and subscribe to Simple Families here. **Also check out Denaye's guest appearance on 3 in 30 here and Rachel's guest appearance on Simple Families here!

Episode 98: I'm Toxic Too One of the biggest surprises in my healing journey was realizing how much damage I had caused to other people because of my own unhealed trauma. I used to take out my fears, worries, insecurities, and rage out at others simply because I did not know that there was something inside of me that needed to be "fixed."
This goes hand in hand with my episode on "Victimhood," but in this episode, I completely call myself out.
In order to move on and let go, I feel that it is completely necessary to be able to admit your wrongs and to ask others for forgiveness.
Take a listen as I explain one of the most important steps I have had to overcome in my healing journey.

Write Down Your Hangcliffers One of the many things I love about raising a daughter with dyslexia is that I learn from her every single day. I love the way she sees the world and I love even more how she shares the things she sees and thinks about. That's where hangcliffers was born! It started out as a typical night where we were watching a tv series with our daughter and this episode was the last one for the season. It ended without really ending. You know, the ones where you are left not knowing what happened next. My daughter stood up and said with a very serious face and tone she said to us “that was a real hangcliffer.” I've had many moms raising dyslexic kiddos share similar stories. So, how are we going to remember all of these amazing words, expressions, and ideas of our kids growing up? Write them down.Listen to learn the benefits of writing it down in letters to your kiddo and how to get started today. You Got This!Back to School Bootcamp for Moms, VIP ExperienceAll things dyslexia and parenting --> www.dyslexiamomlife.comFree Dyslexia Mom Life Podcast Community --> www.facebook.com/groups/dyslexiamomlifeBack to School Bootcamp for Moms - VIP Experience, Enroll Today!Support the show

Having a Financially Intentional Mindset with Allie Gabelman of Financial Intentions Life is all about balance - especially while parenting. On today's episode, Bethany talks to Allie Gabelman of Financial Intentions about how being intentional with your finances is a process of diligently reviewing and being mindful with your money. She reminds us to make sure that you are only spending money on things that are necessary or actually bring you and your family joy. Allie also talks about how intentional spending is NOT extreme frugality. It is instead, ensuring you spend on what you truly need, or what brings you joy, and minimizing or eliminating the rest. The purpose of intentional spending is to be able to maximize how much money you have each month to send to your investments and savings goals. So it is important to know your "WHY" and keep that in mind when aiming to spend intentionally.

Thinking back on growing up. Joe shares how his mom hijacked a wedding band and Steve’s surprise when she does a beer bong. They then bond over their mother’s affection for gambling, sharing stories about their tussles with Lady Luck. Steve poses the question to Joe about what his dead mom would think if she could see him now. And Steve talks about how great it has been to be able to witness his parents see him film his tv series.

An Unconventional Life: Morgan Godvin's Story To say that Morgan Godvin has had an unconventional life is an understatement. Morgan grew up with two mothers and always knew that her father was a sperm donor. She was very bright and excelled in school, but an emptiness inside, along with being bullied, led her to drugs. Addiction also ran in her family. She lost her mother and several close friends to overdose. Eventually, Morgan wound up in prison. Morgan just graduated from college at the top of her class and is now working to end overdose and overhaul the criminal justice system when it comes to drug crimes. She had a lot to say in this podcast that everyone needs to hear. Morgan's non-profit using hip-hop to end overdose: Beats Overdose.Support the show
Tax Question Welcome. Thanks for joining us. In this episode, I answer a question from one of our listeners. The answer is very generic in nature, mainly for an employee filing their tax return. We discuss where to locate the form(s), and what information is needed before the process.

How to Scale Your Business Through Systemization In this episode I interview a former guest, Jessica Smith –Enrolled Agent, ‘Taxpert’, founder of Tax Savvy Jessica and co-founder of Workflows for Tax-Pros– about her incredible success in scaling her business through systemization. Since we last spoke, Jessica not only launched her own thriving business as a tax strategist, she also leaned into her pain points as a solopreneur and working mother to establish a better work life balance and inadvertently created a community of professionals looking to do the same. In paying it forward to others through webinars and now courses on streamlining the necessary, albeit time consuming and often tedious tasks of business ownership, via systems and workflows, Jessica proves that our trials are often a catalyst to our growth, and that even in its most challenging moments, and unpredictable years, your business will continue to attract customers and clients so long as you continually seek to improve. Listen to our interview, of practical take-away’s for any working mother to reduce their tax burden, of scaling a business successfully, of the realities of business ownership and the need to lean into systems. If you’ve ever found yourself with too many tasks and too few hours at the end of the week, Jessica will inspire you—through her story and her experience—to outsource and systematize what you can in order to scale your business and buy back your most precious commodity—your time and your passion. This episode will have you have laughing at the fleeting moments of motherhood, taking notes on discussions to have with your tax professional, and pursuing mentorship over coaching. Website | www.taxsavvyjessica.comLinkedIn | www.linkedin.com/in/taxsavvyjessica/Facebook | www.facebook.com/taxsavvyjessicaInstagram | www.instagram.com/taxsavvyjessica/
Healthy Boundaries in Business Healthy boundaries are meant to do two things: train people how to treat you, and to uplift your self-worth. When you are clear, and set boundaries, it keeps the gunk out of your relationships because both parties know what desires and expectations to meet. Sometimes a healthy boundary may not be the popular choice, but if it’s a value that is important to you, it’s important to hold firm to that belief. Listen in to learn how to look at boundaries for your business so that you feel good and open to abundance and prosperity. If you want your business to grow, it’s imperative that you feel good about the work that you do, the impact you make, the customers you interact with, how you feel at the end of the day. Boundaries help you connect to those values.

More Than Mom: Advice (Giving It, Getting It & More) Today we’re talking about advice: asking for it, giving it, and consuming it in general. Things have come a looong way since the days of Dear Abby (we’re looking at you, Facebook crowdsourcing!), and in this fun More Than Mom conversation, Meagan and Sarah share how we individually show up when it comes to receiving advice, whether we’re comfortable giving advice, and how it all has changed for us over the years. We also discuss our mutual fascination with advice-column culture and parse the difference between seeking wise counsel from trusted friends and looking for quick answers from the Internet hive mind. EP 65 3 Truths About Forgiveness Hey Sis,
Are you a grudge holder?
To forgive or hold a grudge??? To get revenge for that hurt- you know what I'm talking about...secret joy at another's misfortune because of a hurt or slight they have caused you. Today, we are looking at how forgiveness turns that upside down and why it is a gift to ourselves!
Forgiveness is a decision.
Forgiveness is a transaction, an exchange.
Forgiveness is a release and a letting go.
Forgiveness is a practice.
Forgiveness is a command, not a suggestion in the Bible.
Forgiveness is freeing.
Forgiveness is possible.
Forgiveness allows you to be who you were created to be.
Forgiveness opens the floodgates of the fruit of the spirit.
Forgiveness allows you to let go of the past and it's control of your future.
Forgiveness allows you to be loved and to fully love.
Forgiveness is not a weakness.
Forgiveness puts you in control.
Forgiveness is a choice.
Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself.

As you listen to today's episode, I pray the eyes of your heart will be enlightened and open to hear God's truth over you beloved!
Oh, and do you know I have freebies for you over on my website?

Adoptive Parents Deserve a Baby Shower, Too I firmly believe that first and foremost, a baby shower helps a new or hopeful adoptive parent feel like a "real" parent. Adoptive moms often feel different or othered among other moms.
It's OK Not to Do Summer Learning With Your Kids There’s no doubt some summer learning isn’t a bad thing, but with all we’re facing as parents, is informal summer school what we should prioritize doing with our kids?
Consider Going To Therapy With Your Monster-In-Law This week, Aleen and Brittany start off by revisiting their very stressful week. Brittany, without internet for the past 7 days, shares how she has kept her kids entertained while Aleen has been (literally) counting the minutes for Mila’s teeth to grow in and her sleep schedule to resume. Next, they answer some listener questions about their workout plans and give tips and tricks on how to set up a successful birth plan. They end on a “Am I A Mom-ster?” submission where one mom is stressing over the name her MIL has chosen for herself, “Mom-Mom” - which is mom, but twice. (edited)

S05|01 - A Minimalist Life: Stillness, Simplicity and Intuition I’m back from a lovely 6-week break from IG and the podcast… and I’ve learned some things along the way that I feel called to share with you. I spent much-needed time resting, pausing, being still, connecting and spending time outdoors. Doing this taught me a lot about my own self-worth, how to be more intentional in my be-ing and my do-ing, and why it’s kind of amazing to do less. What we chat about today:Minimalism in our life, parenting and scheduleSimplicity in life comes from stillness, pause and restSelf-worth tied to productivitySneaky expectations in parentingTuning in to our parental intuition---Coaching has changed my own life, and the lives of my clients. More connection, more healing, more harmony and peace in our most important relationships. It increases confidence in any difficulties that come up in parenting, which helps you be the guide and teach your children the family values that are important to you- in clear ways. Postpartum Real Talk with RH Mnati RH Mnati is back to share the details of what life was like when she returned home with a new baby and heightened emotions. She was not prepared for all the challenges she was hit with. Of course, having this baby was incredibly magical, but the load of pressures that instantly came with motherhood was overwhelming. The first pressure was feeding the baby every 2-3 hours, and then the disagreements of how to do or what to do with the baby. Then the dark feelings arose, which finally led to an ER visit to get help for postpartum.
