E367: Amber Shaw - If you have an EATING DISORDER you MUST learn this | Trauma Healing Podcast One of the biggest mental health stigmas in the world is around eating disorders. And I will be the first one to tell you that I recognize how touchy of a subject it is. Many of us go through these crash diets, yo-yo diets, these crazy 30-day challenges and transformations, quote-unquote, that are supposed to help us and make us feel better about who we are. In my own journey, as many of you know, at one point in my life, I was 350 pounds; there is no question that morbid obesity comes from an eating disorder. And for me, it was very much tied to emotional behaviors and escapism, and for many people, that holds true. And today's guest, Amber Shaw, is a body transformation expert and the founder of the wellness revolution. She's a motivational speaker and internationally recognized authority in the health and wellness industry. She's a great friend of mine who has been on quite the journey herself as someone who has battled eating disorders and this wellness industry, which is changing it. I have so much love and admiration for Amber. We often think our body is the full representation of who we are in the world. And Amber Shaw is someone I will tell you right now will agree that that's not entirely true. If you've ever been on the yo-yo diets, if you've ever had an eating disorder, if you have low self-esteem, you find yourself binge eating, you're kind of like in this weird place where food often kind of satiates your needs, your desires, your wants and your needs, and yet you always still feel empty, you may wanna listen to this episode. I know that in my own journey, when I got healthy, chose health, and started looking at food as nourishment and medicine, everything changed for me. And I hope you'll find it will do the same for you. And look, I'll tell you right now; this episode is not preachy, it's not as yelling about this is the diet or that is the thing, but I'm going to tell you right now, there are tools in this conversation that if you pay attention, could potentially change your life forever. E365: Jimmy Hays Nelson - Your Story Matters | Trauma Healing Coach One of the devastating and heartbreaking truths about people who have traumatic childhood experiences, for people who grew up in homes that maybe aren't so forgiving, for people who suffer at the hands of bullying or being mistreated, is that they start to think that their story doesn't matter when in fact, one of the most important things that we have is our story, the decision, and the choices that we make to not only let that story not own us, but for us to own it and to use our story to make the world a better place. And that's very much the truth for today's guest, my friend, and coach, Jimmy Nelson.   Jimmy Hays Nelson, AKA coach Jimmy has been a high-performance business coach for over a decade. Jimmy's skills have allowed him to connect personal stories to products and services so that people can create the life they want. I won't get into Jimmy's full story because I want you to listen to the show. Still, he faced a tremendous amount of bullying, being overweight, having people not believe in him, finding himself on the brink of financial collapse, and then one day making a decision to become the hero of his own story.   Jimmy's a great friend of mine, someone that I look up to in the world, someone who I think is an amazing leader, who's truthful, honest, and whose Texas draw will definitely get your attention. Michael went from a high school teacher to a Broadway producer in less than two years and created an amazing network and community of people in New York City through his compassion, truth, empathy, and leadership. He decided to build working our networking and workshops for people in a way that would help make their lives better. Michael and I connected in this conversation, and I was excited to share it with you guys because, you know, I think about all the time, like every single day, I think about like, what does leadership mean? What does it mean to be the person who is willing to put it on the line and create the change in your world and in the life that you want to have? In this conversation, Michael's going to not only dive into a lot of the tools that he's used to be an effective leader but also many of the tools that he's used to get over his own fears about stepping into success and building out a network of people that he now calls community, not to mention that he writes a public blog post every day. When people's behavior isn't making sense: Results from 7 days of journaling. Results from my past 7 days of journaling what the most overwhelming feelings popped up most often. The main thing was situations where other people's behavior didn't make sense to me, and I would end up being hard on myself. I realized the remedies in how to address this moving forward, which are empathy and being a better listener.

E360: Discovering your super POWER through SELF-LOVE with Ria Mestiza | CPTSD and Mental Health Coach In this episode, I am joined by my friend and guest – Ria Mestiza. She is the coach to ambitious high achievers ready to take control of their health who seek to achieve their best body and lifestyle for optimization and longevity. She is the Founder of Fitsique Wellness & Performance and the host of “Summon Your Superhuman” Podcast. I have a tremendous amount of admiration for her and her health journey, for her willingness to show up in the world. But most importantly, because she's trying to make an impact and give people the tools to live a healthy, fulfilling, and sustainable life. We connected after well through the 10X community, which I know you guys have heard me many times in Grant Cardone's organization. And she's just a powerhouse, a rock star, an amazing human being, and someone who has been driven by the mission to overcome her own experiences and challenges and give people the tools to do the same. One of the most important things that we can do as individuals is have mentors and leaders and coaches who are just simply a step-in front of us to mimic model and master what they do and to leverage their tools, to circumnavigate the chaos of what it takes to figure out a lot of things on your own and a great testament of a person who not only has executed to that in her own life, but gives those same tools to the people of the world who are so willing to accept them. Shutting down? Lost sense of self? There's a word for it; STRESS Knowing the right word for why we shut down and why we feel a lost sense of self, that's half the battle. It's not just that trauma leads to these things, the trauma started it, and the shutting down is the result, but the middle piece is so important because it can be invisible and just lingers unnamed...but it has a name and it's called STRESS.

Behavior rooted in short-term thinking, the effects and long-term solutions. How solving issues from a short-term thinking (impulsive) mindset has led me into current positions in my life (along with the feelings that come with it). Important to remind myself how that isn't a bad thing, and once I figured out how it began I realized the long-term solution to it.

Condescending feedback Do you receive condescending feedback? I explain why the stress/anxiety you feel around someone (which leads to an unfocused mind) can lead to putting your foot in your mouth and feeling like an idiot. E351: These tools will help you heal childhood trauma with Sue Bowles | Trauma Healing Podcast In this episode, I speak with Sue Bowles, a master certified life coach, trauma survivor, and speaker. And I had Sue on the show because I felt so closely akin to her, her journey, and her mission. I knew that bringing her on would be a difficult conversation, which I assure you it was, so just a little fair warning as we get into this, it's a bit of an emotional conversation. But more importantly, I wanted to bring her on to help solidify and show the truth of the path it takes to go through this journey of healing. I will not share her story right now because I was hoping you could listen to the show, but the information that she will share about her growth through some incredibly traumatic experiences even impacted me. You have to think how many times I've done this; it's insane. And it impacted me where I got emotional in this conversation because you sit and you watch the power that an individual has inherently to do that thing that we do, the hardest thing to learn, to love yourself, to get out of the vortex, to let go of the past, and ultimately to be unbroken. Sue is a great testament to that, to what it means to make yourself rise despite other people in the world trying to put you down. And this is a very inspirational conversation, and I hope that if you take anything away from this conversation today, it's this, right now, at this moment. You have the ability to create massive change in your life, but it starts with acknowledging the truth. Sue is a phenomenal guest, and this is an awesome conversation! E356: Let go of your mistakes | CPTSD and Trauma Healing Podcast So many of us beat ourselves up because of our mistakes. E350: How to stop giving a F*CK | Trauma and Mental Health Podcast So, I was going back through the vault of this podcast and came across a very old episode from early in 2019, called "How to stop giving a fuck" I remember recording this episode and to be honest with you when I originally recorded it, I was like, this is weird because not giving a fuck is important, but I don't think people really understand what I mean. And so, I want to create a little context as you get in this episode. Not giving a fuck is very simple. It's about showing up in authenticity, in truth, in vulnerability, and living life as exactly the person you are and choose to be without bending yourself to what other people expect. And so, what's really interesting about this show is when you hear it, you'll hear me refer to it as the Michael Unbroken Podcast. And this podcast has a couple of different names; it also used to be called these 10 ACEs, something else that I will not mention now. And, you know, it used to be under Michael Anthony, which is my actual name. And many people know that's not a surprise, but if you're newer to Think Unbroken and Michael Unbroken, then you probably don't know that. When you hear that, you might be caught off guard and were also recording this underneath a desk with a zoom recorder. So, it doesn't sound that great, but I was in the middle of Bali, so I'm like, whatever. And I wanted to share this episode again because it was a solidification in this journey of feeling like I knew I was making the right decision to make this show. So even those episodes, three years old, I feel like it still holds a lot of value. I listened to it because I was like, what did I even say? Do I even believe some of those things? And I'll let you be the one to decide how this episode is going to play a role in your life on this beautiful day. The truth is that not giving a fuck isn't about being a jerk or a douche bag or an asshole or rolling over steamrolling people; it's about simply saying, this is who I am. This is my journey; accept me as I am, and as I am on this journey, or get out of my life. And not giving a fuck is a very, very, very powerful tool in this. And it's not about not loving yourself, not showing up, and not doing the hard work because you know how I feel about that. But it's just simply about looking at and acknowledging the reality; other people's opinions just don't have anything to do with you. I hope you enjoy this episode. We have some amazing, amazing content coming up! Learn more about Think Unbroken and Pre-Order my new book: Unbroken Man. Plus, learn more about the free coaching and other mental health programs. E355: Michael Unbroken on Up Your Influence | CPTSD and Trauma Healing Coach I'm very excited about today's episode. I always love when I get to share the content from me being a guest. As you may know, if you don't know me, I am an author, speaker, coach, podcast host, and advocate for adult survivors of childhood trauma. Think Unbroken has been a love and joy of mine over the years and something that I've used as a mechanism to teach everything that I know about healing childhood trauma for free. So, as a part of that, one of the things that happen is I'm frequently asked to show up and be a guest on other people's shows. And I Think I'm around like 300 guest appearances, and on occasion, we do a show that is so incredibly unbelievably great that I ask the host if I can have it to put on this show. Josh Elledge, who is the host of the Up Your Influence. He's the thoughtful entrepreneur podcast, the host of Up Your Influence, the thoughtful entrepreneur. He's done like 500 shows, and he's an amazing human being; his mission and what he's been able to do in the world are beautiful. When he asked me to come on to be a guest, I knew I had to say yes because it is an entrepreneurial-driven show. I'll kind of context that as we get into this, but I know one thing to be very, very, very, very true about everything in life. No matter where you start, it's about where you are that creates the change in your life. Josh asked me some difficult questions. We had many bans turn back and forth, and he's a standup guy. And so, I'm honored to share my experience from his show with you here on Think Unbroken today. Learn more about Think Unbroken and Pre-Order my new book: Unbroken Man. E353: Use these TOOLS to find your VOICE with Samantha Roberts | CPTSD and Mental Health Coach In this episode, I'm very excited to be joined by my friend, Samantha Roberts, today, who will talk about the power of using your voice. Samantha went through quite a journey at one point after multiple accidents and concussions, actually losing the ability to use her voice for almost a decade. This is an incredible story, journey, and transformation into someone new who's leveraging her voice to help others find theirs. You know, I think about my own personal journey and this aspect of not knowing how to step into who I am today at the beginning of this and filling like 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 years ago, not knowing who I am, how to define myself or how to speak my truth. And to be here today now with you, Unbroken Nation, and have been able to coach thousands of people, do hundreds of podcasts, and know one thing for certain without being able to find my voice, none of this would be possible. And I hope that as you listen to today's episodes with Samantha, you find the courage to have the willingness to step into the micro-steps, the day one of finding your voice to ultimately leverage that, to create the change and have the life that you want to have. E348: The POWER of CHOICE with Claude Larson | CPTSD and Mental Health Coach So much of what we can change in our lives starts and is predicated on our understanding of who we are and the choices that we make. I am very excited for today's episode with my guest Claude Larson, a teacher of over 25 years and an author of the power of choice, a teen's guide to finding personal success. And I know what you might be thinking, like, why are we having a teacher come on, Think Unbroken. Why are you sharing this information about teens? And the truth is, as you know, the goal of ending generational trauma in my lifetime through education and information. And that applies not only to us as adults consuming this information but also to the information we can give to children. One of the big things happening and Think Unbroken right now is a curriculum redesign happening for us to go and give this information to kids in schools. When I came across Claude, and we had our initial conversation, I thought to myself, and this is the perfect subject matter for Think Unbroken. When I got deeper into her book, I realized that a lot of her curriculum is what I teach adults over here in the think unbroken side. And I thought to myself; this makes a lot of sense; this is a perfect mesh up of two different teaching styles in two different arenas, schools, and teens, as opposed to me with adults and business leaders. And thinking this if we can start mending this, this brings us even closer to my goal. I'm very excited to have her on as we talk about values, habits, and the power of choosing yourself and moving through life. What you are going to learn will be transferable into your personal life with the kids you're working with and even your own life. E346: The MINDSET of A ZEN Navy SEAL with Mark Divine | Mental Health Coach About seven years ago, I listened to today's guest, Mark Divine, on Tom Bilyeu's Inside Quest. And I was immediately captivated, like I could not actually put into words the thoughts going through my head. Early in this journey, he talked about things that I have always been interested in: martial arts, meditation, and yoga. I would come later to find that Mark was not only a Navy seal and an entrepreneur, business owner, author, podcast host, and Zen practitioner, but also just an incredible and giving human. It's an honor for me today to sit across from him and have this conversation on this podcast. There are times in our lives when we have the opportunity to sit and have conversations with people who may be our heroes or mentors or people that we look up to, and I did not take that lightly. And I don't take your time lightly either because I know the huge amount of investment you spend when you come and share this experience with me and so, for that, I say thank you. Mark's journey is really bathed in decisions like so many people to go and create the life, to be the conspire of your own journey and your own story. And like anyone on a vision quest to discover and better understand who he is, I'm incredibly excited about this episode. Before we get in, I want to read a quote from his book, Unbeatable Mind, just to kind of lay the context and the groundwork for the expectation of what you're about to step into. “Yoga reinforced the notion that daily training and practice was more important than any specific teacher or skill. The journey of disciplining and yolking the word yoga means to yolk the mind, body, and spirit to steal itself and focus on higher-order notions of being and living is one of the greatest secrets to personal development, just as the body will atrophy without constant training, the mind and spirit will not develop and will atrophy without a similar focus.” My friends. E344: If You Want To FIND YOUR PURPOSE In Life with Jenna Kutcher | Trauma Healing Podcast Change is inevitable; it's as imminent as the moon, the tide, and the seasonal Starbucks menu; it's a rite of passage for all of us. Transformation is power, energy, and momentum. It keeps us moving forward. It's the one given in life that everything will change, that all will be made new that evolution is just around the corner for all of us. That is an excerpt from Jenna Kutcher's new book – how are you really. I'm incredibly excited to have Jenna on the show today for a couple of reasons. One, she and I share some very symbiotic backstory experiences. Two because she has been a powerhouse in empowering women, entrepreneurs, and business owners around the world to own their greatness, their power, and their ability to be leaders. And I think that's incredibly important, especially in the conversation about personal development, growth, and change. She's also the host of one of the top-rated podcasts in the world called “Goal Digger” which I love, and I started listening to years ago. And having her on the show really means a lot to me because I wanted to sit and have a conversation with her about the depth and scope of not only change but empowerment for women and also the conversation about her having a husband who happens to be a stay-at-home husband, who is the foundation and cornerstone a lot of what she's been able to build through having an amount of trust and connection and love and empowerment. The conversation we're about to have is really beautiful. I felt so honored to share it with you today because as her new book is coming out, and I think about this as an author all the time, we need to support each other. I'm very excited to share this episode with you – Unbroken Nation. It's going to be a game-changer for one of you out there! I'm very excited about today's episode with my guest, clinical psychologist Jonathan Le, who is an absolute, incredible human being who has helped thousands of people be able to step into their healing journey.  I invited Jonathan onto the show, so he could talk about many different things, including his H.E.N model, which he'll get into, as well as what I think is a really important and fascinating aspect of mental health that's not talked about a lot nor enough it is the bio psychological models including how to create a healthy and holistic healing approach. I really appreciated being able to have this conversation with Jonathan because even as someone who is deep into this mental health recovery, healing trauma overcoming game, this thing that we do here at Think Unbroken, I’m always want to learn, I'm always trying to develop new tools, I'm trying to have better understandings about the world, I'm always trying to get to what is next in life, and this conversation was absolutely phenomenal. In today's episode, my guest is DJ Dramos, who you may know from the breakfast club. Now, if you know his story, you know that he's no longer with the breakfast club. One of the most syndicated daytime morning radio talk shows in the history of the radio. This conversation was really powerful because I think one thing that happens so often in someone's journey in this held true for Dramos is that we think we have everything that we want. And then, when we listen to ourselves and figure out how to build what we want, we finally have it. Sometimes we discover that it's actually truly the journey that fulfills us and not the destination. I am very excited to have this conversation with him today because it is enlightening for me, and I hope it will be for you. And I hope, if anything, it'll give you some inspiration to move towards creating the life you want to have and being the hero of your own story. E337: Why Your STORY MATTERS with Seth Erickson | CPTSD and Trauma Healing Coach I'm very excited to share today's episode with my guest, Seth Erickson, a branding expert. I wanted to have Seth on, even though the show isn't necessarily entrepreneurial; as you guys have heard me say before, I always feel like this sense of freedom that comes with entrepreneurship and living your dreams really starts with your voice, your mission, your message, and this back and forth. Seth and I talk about the importance of the willingness to honor your voice, to hold your truth, and to put yourself out there even, especially when life is scary as it can sometimes be. And in my journey, I've found that the more I was willing to put myself out there, the more I was willing to face the possible criticism of the world, regardless of what they believe versus what I believe, the more sure-footed I've become in this experience. I hope that you'll take from this episode maybe a little hope or even a planting of a seed of an idea that your mission and your story truly do matter. E334: Surviving and thriving with MJ Vogel | CPTSD and Trauma Coach In this episode, I sit with my friend Mallisa J Vogel, a high-performance coach, author, and speaker who has arguably one of the craziest stories I've ever heard in my life. I don't even want to spoil it for you right now. Still, I'm going to tell you this like sitting here, being able to have this conversation today was like, I just had so many holy shits like, I cannot believe that happened to you moments that I'm speechless, I'll let you guys know I am fucking do this for a living. I'm always talking, coaching, and doing podcasts, and I just was like, wow, if you can overcome that – my audience, the Unbroken Nation, I need you to hear this as a reminder that no matter what we come from and what we've been through or where it is that we are today that we can still create and build the life that we want to have tomorrow, despite near death, despite poverty and homelessness, despite not being educated, despite surgeries and medical intervention, despite all of the chaos of the world, all the things that we may go through, all of the hurt, the suffering, the pain that we can still create and build the life that we want to have. This conversation was beautiful and powerful. I hope today you will hear this and feel inspired and motivated and find the drive and willingness to persevere through the struggle, through the parts of life that feel insurmountable, and to say no fuck that, I'm going to be the hero of my own story. E332: Overcoming Multiple Rock bottoms with Eric Zimmer | Trauma Healing Coach In this episode, I am joined by my friend and fellow podcaster – Eric Zimmer, who is a behavioral coach, an author, and the host of the one you feed podcast, and he's on a mission that is inspired to have a greater understanding of how our minds work and how to create the lives we want to live intentionally. At twenty-four years old, Eric was homeless, addicted to heroin, and facing a long prison sentence. It's an honor to have him on the show to talk about his journey; he has struggled with addiction and struggled through hitting rock bottom multiple times, his struggles in trying to figure out who he was. As someone who has gone through the throws of trying to figure out identity, I parallel Eric in many ways. This conversation is heartfelt, honest, vulnerable, and beautiful. I was lucky enough to be a guest on his show, and it's an honor to have him here on Think Unbroken to share his journey and story with you, the Unbroken Nation. I know you'll get so much out of this because I certainly did, and it's a conversation I'll remember forever. E330: The Power of Positive with Jon Gordon | CPTSD and Mental Health Podcast In this episode, today's guest – Jon Gordon. He's a best-selling author and international speaker. He's written twenty-four books, one of them which is called the “Energy Bus,” sold over two million copies, he's a graduate from Cornell, he's a master and teaching from emery, and he is just a powerhouse of a human being. His story and journey are like ones, not just all of these really incredible cool accouterments to the human experience but a lot of struggle and scary long nights and being dramatically in debt and losing it all but the willingness to figure it out and keep going. I felt so inspired after this conversation with Jon because it was just such a reminder when I was kind of in this little bit of a dark place a few months ago, where it was like keep going, just keep going, just keep going, like I tell you guys all the time there's always light, there's always light at the end of the tunnel. It holds true in my life; I see a whole truth in people's lives every day, and it holds true here for Jon and his story. I hope you'll take out of the conversation I have with Jon here today that self-belief is everything. I know that can be difficult to navigate sometimes, especially when life feels hard, daunting, meticulous, difficult, and sad. We suffer and go through the throws of all of the things that are the human experience. Still, if you're willing to hold on to the truth that betting on yourself and following through and doing whatever it takes will create a massive change in your life, that is exactly what will happen, and that's the conversation I have with Jon today. It was really beautiful timing for me because a few months ago, I felt well like, you know what is the point of Think Unbroken, what is the point of killing myself over building this, what is the point of everything? And it was just being in the crux of a lot of transition in my life and filling not necessarily depressed but just kind of a little blue and feeling like, okay, get back into the tools, get back into the habits into the routines and the beliefs and keep just executing and going forward and then I look at the kind of the last four months and it's been absolutely incredible. You know, sitting here in the new studio with you, having just spoken to New York City, having a billboard of me there, which is really crazy, working on the next book, the Men's Coaching Group Program it's about to launch. So, many really, really cool things are happening, and it's just again a testament to executing against the tools and recognizing that we will all have bad days still, there's always light; if you're willing to bet yourself and keep going then that's a lot of what Jon and I discussed in today's conversation on the podcast. I would read an excerpt of the book, but I don't think I would do justice because Jon's energy is unbelievable, his thought about life is unbelievable, and it was an honor to sit down with him and have this conversation. E328: How to let your guard down and love yourself | CPTSD and Trauma Coach In this episode, I was thinking about this in-depth just last night. I came to this fascinating truth about this experience the higher your guard is up mentally, emotionally, and spiritually the more difficult it is to step into this journey of healing. The exciting kind of juxtaposition of that is understanding that having your guard up can create an illicit sense of safety. What I think is interesting as you go deeper down that rabbit hole is that the greatest sense of healing of freedom and of trusting yourself and thus allowing that to exist outside of you and in the world and your environment is by letting your guard down with yourself first.   When is the last time that you truly let your guard down? E327: Male Sexual Abuse with Dr. Kelli Palfy | Trauma Healing Podcast In this episode, I speak with Doctor Kelli Palfy, a registered psychologist specializing in working with adult male survivors of sexual abuse. Prior to becoming a psychologist, she was an RCMP officer who worked in the Integrated Child Exploitation Unit, part of the Behavioral Sciences Unit of the RCMP. As many of you know, one of the subjects that I've brought to this show, my career and books that I have written, articles that I have published, podcasts that I've been on, and other appearances is the fact that when I was a child, I was sexually abused. I had this moment where I did not share it for a very long time, and once I did what happened, I was told never to talk about it; this would damage our family, and we will lose support from people who were supporting us and so on. This conversation that I have today with Doctor Kelli Palfy is about exposing not only this subject matter to society at a greater scale in depth but also looking at a lot of the ways that boys specifically fall into sexual abuse, how they are groomed, how they are cold, how society doesn't talk about it or looks the other way and then how we create space for male survivors to finally have this conversation, to find community, to find help, to find guidance, to find ultimately a way to be able to move through this and not let it be that hidden thing that stops you from finding love, compassion, empathy, hopes, success and whatever else it is that you may need in your life. E326: How to be ok changing your mind | Mental Health Podcast In this episode, I talk about how to be okay with changing your mind. The ultimate fixed mindset, where we get stuck more so than anywhere, is in the limiting beliefs, the self-sabotaging ideation that we have, which are instilled in us from our parents, community, childhood, upbringing, and the people around us. You probably had a moment in your life where you were reiterating what someone else told you are or should be, and you fell into believing it. I've been there; trust me, I have those ideas about good enough, strong enough, capable enough. When you understand the truth about this, one of the most difficult aspects of changing how you believe about yourself, how you think about yourself, and how you act in the world starts with shedding those narratives that other people have given you. EP 143: Go Beyond Moments "When not feeling heard, listen to yourself," Dr. Deb Lindh
When struggling, what's one question we can ask ourselves? A question we can ask is:
What do I need right now?
Read that again.
Focus on the question. Focus on the word "need." What's coming up? What answers? What needs??
~ The need to be heard
~ The need to be validated
~ The need to be listened to
In this episode, I share some tips on how to use that question to help bring awareness to the need, fulfilling the need, and to help ourselves.

E323: How to find your purpose and identity with Bryna Haynes | Trauma Healing Coach In this episode, I sit down with Bryna Haynes, the founder of world changers media, and what a beautiful title for a company, what a beautiful idea and concept for what it means to become who we are, being world changers. So many people, and I will include myself in this conversation, I have found that through creating purpose, understanding self and building your identity, not only are you able to serve yourself in your community, church, family, world better but also there's is an assemblance and understanding of the ability that you have to go, create amazing and beautiful things. I appreciate this conversation with Bryna because I found myself struggling with the most in my journey identity, courage, and willingness to step into and create and understand who I am. We all have these powers inside us to shape our future, create our lives, and what we want. I believe inherently that we all have the power and the ability to be the hero of our own stories. We look at the things that we resist in life. In this conversation, Bryna talks about how so many of us are searching for purpose, and we can't find it until we understand why the things, we resist the most are the keys to our fulfillment and who we are and what we are coming along with this journey. I think you will get so much out of this episode because I know that I certainly did. I appreciate the massive amount of value that not only did she speak to my life in this conversation but what she's delivering to you guys the Unbroken Nation. Let’s get into the shows! E321: Are You Creating Chaos in your life | Mental Health Coach In this episode, I talk about reflecting on my past experiences and how often I chose to create chaos in my life. I want you to think about your behaviors, patterns, and the things that you find that you're susceptible to, the things that you typically will leverage when in an unsettling environment when you are putting yourself in a position of doing old behaviors. E320: How to keep your word to yourself with Keith Yackey | Trauma Healing Podcast In this episode, I sit with my guest and friend Keith Yackey, the founder of marriedgame.com. Keith is someone I met about a year ago just through connections and mutual events, and you got bumped into a few people a few times and became pals. We want to have Keith on the show for a while because I love his mission, and it's to help couples stay together; he spoke about the fact that he believes that over eighty percent of divorces that happen don't have to happen. He talks about accountability about what it means to honor your truth but also his own journey, which is both heartbreaking and amazing of his wife walking away from him, taking their child, and saying, I don't want to be with you to six years later as of today being back in the best relationship with his wife and child that he has ever had by doing the work. And I know so many of us, as we go through these journeys, face the difficulty in trying to reconcile our past mistakes and build to be the person we want to be and ultimately show up every day. Still, we struggle with keeping our word, holding true to who we are, and keeping such something really wonderful during the interview, I won't spoil it, but I'll we'll say this he said, you're not what you say you say you're what you do. That very struck me because I believe that to be incredibly true. This episode is incredible for someone who goes through hitting rock bottom, building themselves back up because we all have been there. We all can get to where we want to go as long as we get clear about that direction, hold ourselves incredibly accountable, and be a person of character who does what we say we're going to do. So, this is an episode I've been looking forward to recording for a very long time. In this week's PTSD and Beyond Podcast Episode, I add to our catalog of "Grab the Mic" themed podcasts and talk about going beyond "Remember Who You Are."
The significance of the "Remember Who You Are" phrase is more than a statement - it's a reminder for moments when we question, struggle, and are being challenged by outside events as well as our inner voice...that inner critic.
I realized there's two additional elements to "Remember Who You Are," that adds depth to understanding who we are while bridging awareness and self-confidence (HINT: those are not the two added elements but are outcomes)!

E318: How to be happy and manifest the life you want with David Meltzer | Mental Health Coach In this episode, I speak with one of my great friends David Meltzer. David has spent the last vast majority of his life on a mission to help over one billion people be happy. He used the co-founder of sports one marketing and was formerly the CEO of Leigh Steinberg Sports & Entertainment. I've had the pleasure of being on David's show a couple of times, and it's been in work to get him over here on Think Unbroken for a while, and he processes complex ideas and breaks them down into practical ways that are not only tangible but practical is second to none. When I sit, and I speak with him, and I go through this process of being enveloped in these ideas like, literally sometimes feel I am like having a conversation with the matrix because of how he breaks things down. I would say one of the most genuine, kind, and giving people you will ever meet. The man only lives to serve, and his ideas and the concepts that he brings to the table have radically impacted my life. Even though this will be a shorter interview than usual, I believe this will impact your life if you're paying attention. There are people in your life that want to see you succeed. And if you're willing to take the advice of those people, it will change everything for you, and that's one of the things that David has been able to do in my life that has been so incredibly beneficial that I hope that you will find also be beneficial in yours. What it means to effectively show up every day and not let anyone change what you believe you're capable of doing, and that quote… “Indeed, no one can afford the purposes of your mind, for they can't be touched by fire, steel, tyranny, slander or anything.”  – Marcus Aurelius. What does that mean to me? Why do I want to read that quote today? Share this episode with somebody who you love. Share this episode with somebody on this journey! Catch Up Now!
