My guest this week is the epitome of an underdog. You know, the type of guy who has his back against the wall but against all odds always manages to emerge victorious! Born in Cuba as a navy brat, he is most certainly the opposite of what often defines the subculture and lifestyle of military families.
His behavior is quite the contrary - in fact he is the true essence of an entrepreneur. You see, today’s guest started his fashion career on the ground floor of Canada’s most iconic menswear department store where he developed an affinity for textiles, garments, and innovating the way men looked at fashion. The interesting thing about him is that before that moment he wasn’t really a fashion guy.
Actually, he was a self-taught auto mechanic who lived that South Florida surf life. It wasn’t until 2009 where his life took a different path that led him to fashion. Want to hear this guy's fascinating story?

Sit back and enjoy this week's episode with Mike Paul. He joined me on the pod to chat about his unpredictable path to becoming a bespoke tailor, how his experience living through the 2008 financial crisis has helped him navigate Covid and how he plans to grow his business even as we live through the most difficult crisis the world has ever seen.

Before I jump into this episode, I wanted to take a second to thank my sponsors at Bean Bundle, Canada’s newest coffee subscription. Before I geared up for this interview I used my french press using beans they sent me from one of the dopest roasters from across the country. Bean Bundle makes it so easy for people like me who drink tonnes of coffee every single day but love to try beans from different roasters. The process is pretty simple...you just visit beanbundle.com , choose how much coffee you want on a monthly basis, medium or dark roast and they ship you different beans from the latest roasters on a monthly basis. Best part is if you live in Canada they ship to you absolutely free and if you sign up using the code BUNDLE10 you’ll save 10% your subscription. Now pour yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy this week's episode.
