Al Galdi is asking where is the "very competitive competition" for Dwayne Haskins going to come from?
\ESPN Redskins insider John Keim, tweeted over the weekend that the Redskins would "not be going after Cam."
ESPN NFL reporter Josina Anderson last week tweeted regarding potential Redskins interest in Cam Newton that the Skins "discussed it, talks did not rise to the level of definitive interest at this time, more of a 'wait & see mode' right now observing Newton's market. #Skins also like their young guys too, per source."
Keim last week tweeted that there was "no chance of the Redskins acquiring Jameis Winston" per a source. Why there was no chance became an interesting question.
Jameis' attitude didn't seem to be a reason. Bucs players were very excited to be playing with Tom Brady but also had mixed emotions, as Brady's arrival meant that Jameis Winston's time with the Bucs was done. She tweeted the following day that "since posting this video, I’ve had more Bucs players reach out telling me that yes, this is exactly how they’re feeling. They can’t wait to play with Tom Brady, but they’re anxious to see where Jameis Winston ends up because he was such a valued part of their locker room." Also, for whatever it's worth, Jameis over the weekend, on social media bid farewell to the Buccaneers in a classy way, tweeting, "It's been a great 5 seasons as a Buccaneer. All love and respect. I love Tampa and I look forward to seeing y'all again in February. #SBLV #2020Vision #Dreamforever"
Last month we learned of Jameis Winston having undergone LASIK eye surgery.
Jameis in the 2019 season became the first 30-30 quarterback in NFL history, throwing 33 touchdown passes versus 30 interceptions. He also set an NFL single-season record with seven pick-6s. And he took 47 sacks. But Jameis in 2019 also led the NFL with 5,109 passing yards, was No. 2 in the NFL with the 33 touchdown passes and was No. 6 in the NFL in yards per pass attempt at 8.16.
Teddy Bridgewater has signed with the Panthers and Brian Hoyer re-signed with the Patriots, so those to are out?
