That’s why in this episode Dr. Meeker invited Debbie Reber to join her and talk about her new book Differently Wired: Raising an Exceptional Child in a Conventional World. Debbie Reber is a parenting activist, New York Times bestselling author, keynote speaker, and the founder of TiLT Parenting, a top podcast, community, and educational resource for parents raising differently wired children. After living abroad in the Netherlands for the past five years, Debbie, her husband, and 15-year-old son recently moved back to NYC. I think so. I mean, what has happened even in Teen Hood has been tremendous. And which is why he's back in school. He's really just thriving in so many ways, and the growth we're seeing is incredible. So he's got big plans, big plans for university and beyond. And I feel really confident that he's gonna be able thio make them happen for himself. I mean, thes air, the people who, you know, change the world, these air, the rockers and the Shakers and the leaders. And, um, you know, they make the biggest impact. And yet, you know, they kind of pay a price. Let's talk about you and how you went through that. You say in your book it was very important for you to connect with other parents and kind of find a support group. How did you find those women? Well, I mean, partially. I created until parenting to create the community that I made it. I think that feeling alone was probably the biggest struggle for me on I think that that's when parents find this out. They often do feel like no, but no one else gets what they are going through. Eso for me. You know, I I did have, ah, close network of friends that I kind of lead. And then they were very supportive and helping me vent and giving me letting me cry or just show up at their house when I need to get out of my house on a bad day. But one of the reasons why I created Tilt was because I don't want other parents to feel that their long Because we're everywhere, everywhere, like our kids, so
