Marie Medford has traveled two thousand miles to the country-side to live with her only surviving relative: her wheelchair-bound uncle, Peter Medford. The longer she stays with Uncle Peter and his strange collection of shrunken heads, the more she fears she is slipping into insanity.

Marie Medford has traveled two thousand miles to the country-side to live with her only surviving relative. Her uncle, Peter Medford, has been wheelchair-bound since a bout with jungle-fever left him paralyzed from the waist down. At Medford Manor, Marie encounters Peter's secretary, Clay, and butler, Victor, don't exactly welcome her warmly. Uncle Peter makes no effort to hide his collection of shrunken heads, showing off to her the expansive exhibition. Marie starts having nightmares of the heads and is unable to hold down a job; she continuously gets dismissed by her employers despite well-qualified and hardworking. Marie starts to fear she is slipping into insanity, considering it runs in the family...
