All right, We're back. Drawn the wildlife drew Ramage here and got Pam Stokes with me. We're talking about prayer this week. Uh, it's a great time to be praying this time of year with the election season and everything, and we're probably gonna get that here in just a couple minutes. But we're talking there as we finished that last one, paying about the big praying about the big things, the small things Just pray about everything. But I want Oh, I talked earlier when we started having my dad, you know, told us about how he prayed about giving that day and how he he was obedient. And it, you know, God rewarded him for that. Um, another thing my dad is instilled May is you know, you pray about the big things, you pray about small things, you just make prayer part of your life and and don't wait and do it as a last resort. E guess was the moral of this story. Me and him were kind of remodeling the bathroom. Granted, I am not the handiest of me. And I could do some things, Especially if I've got somebody there that knows what they're doing. I mean, I could jump in there and figure things out, but we were remodeling the bathroom. And if you've ever been in a room, that's like, you know, the it's 6 ft and with and you're trying to put in a 6 ft tub or the whatever the dimensions were at that time, man, you gotta be precise. And we had been working on trying to get this tub into this spot in this bathroom for, I don't know, 15 minutes and we're both pulling our hair out, and it just wasn't going. And finally, I can't remember if it was him or me. He said, You know what? You need to pray about this. So we we just stopped and we just pray, Lord, we cannot get this tub and help direct us on what to do. And that was a simple prayer, you know. But we did stop and and give, uh, some attention to God are asking from our assistance. And I am telling you what Pam. We know more in stop praying, and we went over there and basically just touched that tub that we've been fighting with for 15 minutes, and it fell into place in. If you've been there, you would've known God entered that prayer because of everything we had gone through. And it's just points out to me that, you know, sorry about anything. And and God's gonna listen And And he may just make it is clear his day to you that hey, I answer prayers. And because it was a simple item, something you could do with no no problem whatsoever. Uh, well, that's funny. You should say that because the verse, you know, in preparing for this the verse I got is Philippians. Florence sticks. Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving let your request being made known to God. So you know, that goes right along with what we're talking about. You know, um, perfect, but well, I got another one, and this is tell me if you've ever done this, but I, uh Well, this was when I was going through some things in life. You know, I've been a I've grown up in the church and, you know, always felt like I was on the straight and narrow, but I've got a little squirrely there for a while and and finally had basically humbled myself. And I remember sitting in my grandmother's house and sitting there like, All right, God, I'm at my wits end. Um, I've messed up. I'm ready. Toe turn back to you. I'm gonna forget whatever the issues that were was happening in my time in my life. But I didn't know where to turn in the Bible, uh, to read and try to get closer to God, Grant, I guess you could probably read anything a song as you get your nose in the Bible and he can speak to you. But I remember sitting down and I said, God, I'm gonna open this Bible and I want you to speak to me and you open the Bible. And it was Daniel 10. And I was like, Man, I started reading that thing. I was like, What in the world does all of this mean e God, What are you doing? Turn to me to Daniel. 10. So I got read it, though. You know what? That's where he wanted me. And that's what I read. And I got to 1st 12 and Daniel 10. And you know this pan, But I go by Drew Drew Rams, a middle name child. But my first name is Daniel and then in verse 12, but says then then he said, Don't be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven and have come to answer your prayer. Oh, my gosh. I'm getting chills just reading that again, because, I mean, it couldn't have been anymore. Slap me in the face attention, getter. And I knew with everything that's going in my life, it was getting married to turn out okay, because, uh, I was I was humbling myself, and I was turning to the savior, and, uh, he was gonna take care of it, no matter how things turned out, he was gonna take care of it. And, uh, that's also, um, that story is always just stuck with me naturally on not to share that whenever I can with people. If you just turn away from your sins and you humble yourself before God, just like what this country needs to do right now, uh, he will take care of you. That's right. In our country needs lots of prayers. And, you know, I don't tell this story. Ah, whole lot. But I'm gonna tell you, and I haven't shared this with you previously. But, uh, Pam, do you ever tell a lot more people than May? But I I wanna hear it. I wanna hear it, and I don't. I feel like I should tell it, and I don't know why. And maybe it's for somebody. But at the age of 12, I was told by doctors I would never have Children on, and I was devastated at age 12, but I got married, and later on it was more devastating to me, um, through Siris of doctors, and you just go through this whole process. But I got Teoh a point in a place where, uh, was coming, becoming kind of angry of God, you know, because I have done everything right, you know? And I was just having this season in my life of of of doubt. And, um, So, Hannah, you know, I'd read in Hannah about Hannah many of times, and just God kept prompting me to go back to her story. And so I would read it like every night I would read the chapters and it gets to the part where Hannah thanks God for Samuel. And so that just became my prayer every night. I would read her thanking God for her child. And that's what Philippians 46 says with Thanksgiving, and I begin to no longer focus on what? I didn't have the thanking God for what he was going to give me. You know, and people just people say things. People do things to try to get you down. And, you know, I would just keep going back toe thanking God. Okay. God, I'm gonna I'm gonna read this every night just and, uh, you know, and 1999 I did have a child and went on to have another child, and God bless me. But sometimes we get to that place even with our prayers. Sometimes where we feel like God's not listening. God's not hearing and we get discouraged. But I think those were the times that we just have to go back and start thinking God and remembering those things that God, like I said, has done for us in the past and that God's always been there. Force you know, like you said, you grew up in the church as well. So you you've seen things that God has done. And don't get discouraged when God doesn't answer your prayer right then because it took many years for him to answer mine. But he did, and he hears us. Yeah, and he hears our prayers. Um, and that's a good thing to reflect back on is, you know, he's a promise Keeping God number one. You see that in the Bible? Every promise he's ever said he was gonna make or said he's made, except for one, and that's him coming back. So if he's kept every other promise out there, you know he's gonna keep that promise to. But you could just look back in your life just like when, Where? Where? I was an old seven. You could just tell e could look back at that and see how he was handed in that situation. And I know he's gonna handle situations that air that are gonna be coming before us as well. Um, a situation you're talking about. You say unanswered prayer sometimes, or you feel like they're not answered. Probably the way that you want to. Isn't it amazing, though looking back in life, how some of those prayers that you wanted to get answered how he actually answered them even though you thought they weren't answered at that time? It's amazing. His way is just absolutely amazing. Yeah. And sometimes I think, and this is my case in this last situation is I didn't understand why I was going through that, you know, I didn't understand. Okay. God, why am I having t deal with this? You know, uh, and but you know what? I'm able now to talk to people about that and share with people about that and help other women on other, even men, you know, talk to them about that. And it's become my testimony. And, um, it's the thing. I go back Thio when I am sometimes. Okay. Where are you? God. Okay. And God turns those things around for our good and for us sometimes to be able to talk to other people about things we've gone through. Because if we've never gone through anything or we've never had to trust God for anything or you know I mean, you can't talk, it just makes it easier to talk to people and help other people with what you've gone through sometimes and, uh, help their faith in God, you know, and it helps you relate. No, you're fine. No. It helps you relate to that individual and, uh, and help them in their situation. That's I think that's, uh I don't know what church do that does this. I can't remember where it was that I can't remember where I heard about this. But they have people that have gone through different things in life on openly admit that they've gone through different things in life. And if a member of the church is having a similar situation, they get toe, they know where to go to talk to people that have that have gone through, whatever it might be. Addiction, adultery, uh, whatever. Whatever the issue might be out there, um, it helps them go through that and have somebody to talk to them can relate to it. Uh, probably need to end this one, but I'm gonna go on to another one that, you know, we were talking about
