basic. Um, other new pop culture. Pretty pop culture news. I'm not sure if any of you guys watched the fight that happened recently. Um, if you did not know Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. It was a huge fight over the weekend. And, you know, you may have recognized a familiar name called Jake Paul because he actually fought Nate Robinson, which ended with Nate face planting to the floor. Let's talk about it. Let's talk about it. It looked like that hurt. What are your thoughts on YouTubers Influencers being, you know, fighters. I mean, I think you could do whatever you want. I think it's I think it's cool that they have started this whole new avenue. I mean, I personally I still don't really care about these fight kind of things, but I definitely hear about them or and I'm a little more interested now that some people like names that I recognized from youtuber on it. Yeah, I have such mixed feelings that air so contradictory to each other, and I'll just, like, talk about it for a second, because I don't know what my thoughts are. I think number one I would agree with that I've never cared to, like, watch a fight. I did not watch this fight. I will say. But remember the last time it was the KSE versus Logan Paul, If I and J you know, they had this huge fight, I was in Greece. I'll never forget this. I was in Greece on a brand trip on during yacht week. Okay, Yacht week and vote like the middle of Greece. Whatever. Right. While we're at a dinner, I like look up because it was about 50 different creators all around the world doing it. Um, I look up and so many people are like, huddled around different phones all over this huge thing. And I realized, Oh, my gosh, it's the fight. The fight was going on and it was live streaming and it was like, midnight or 1 a.m. in Greece, or I don't know what time it was, but it was really late and so many people were invested. We're all watching the fight because we were so curious what was gonna happen. And it was that thing where everyone's like Oh, like like, almost embarrassed to say they were interested in watching it. However, Yet here we are on yacht Week in Greece. Like watching this live stream that's happening of these YouTubers having a fight. And that's when I was like, damn, like, this is This is so good, Like the fact that this many people, even people who aren't like, stands or just like interested, Because if you think about it, watching anyone in a field where they're not, you know, expertise, you know it's not their expertise, like it's not there full time, professional career doing it. It's like, Oh, shoot, Are you gonna be bad? There's all this hype around it. It's almost like distracts to another level. You know, it's like but then at the same time, I don't like it. I don't like the idea because for I think for me, it's always a big thing when when you have respect for what someone does and the thing I don't like about influencers is, it's like one day just because you have money, you make an E. P or an album, and you're like, Oh my God, I'm a singer, I'm a pop singer and then you're like, actually just kidding. That didn't do well. Now I'm going to become a fashion designer and then, like you have a fashion line and then you don't like that? Actually, no, I changed my mind again. I just want to be a rapper, you know, or like whatever. And obviously being ableto have a budget you could hire cruise, and you can have a record album and you could like, you can have so much. I feel like a lot of influencers do a lot of different things because they have the means to try it. But I feel like I can't take them as seriously. Sometimes I think I think that it kind of sucks in the way where it's like when YouTubers get like, the Addison Ray. Uh, he's all that spinoff thing. Like she got that because she has followers and more people are gonna be inclined to watch it because she has followers. But it just sucks, because I'm sure there are so many talented actors and actresses out there that would have been great for that role, but they gave it to her because of the followers staying with Jake Paul. I'm sure there are so many so many people who are so talented at boxing and fighting and everything like that. They've trained their whole lives for something like that, and then they kind of give the spot to Jake. But I also understand, like, but I get it. We're talking about it because it's Jake. That and that is where I flip again. And I'm like, Okay, there, genius. Because they're marketing themselves in so many different ways. He, him and Nate both each got $600,000 for that fight. It didn't matter who won or who lost. Apparently it was an exhibition, so it wasn't like a normal type of fight. If you know that world, you know, if you know it doesn't matter. Point being he got 600 kid to get knocked out. I would do a lot, literally, a lot. Like even though Nate has now become a meme because he face planted and it was like a, you know, a big moment. He still got money like he's still, he's chilling like he's fine. So I think it's just so weird for me. I don't know what my views are on it, because I really do believe that this is just the way of the future. like that's how the industry always has been anyway, like whoever is more popular, whoever is more relevant is going to get certain spots over other people over talent like That's just how it is like. But at the same time, it's just so weird. It's just so hard for me to take someone like Jake seriously when he's like Oh, I'm a rapper and he's like Yeah, I'm also a fighter and he's also a youtuber And I'm just like you rapper and fighter, the two like they just like I don't know. You can't blame him for taking the opportunities when they've been brought him, and that's why I'm like he's genius but truly genius. But it's just so hard. It's so hard. So it's not that I don't like him. I respect him like I think he actually is like a great businessman, like, I think he knows the shit he's doing. But at the same time, I feel like it's so hard for me because I feel like when YouTubers get a bad rep, it's for stuff like that where it's like, Yeah, I'm a rapper. That's like, you know, I think he has a bad rep for being not a good person. I think that Oh yes, that's right. Yeah, I respect the respect the hustle don't like the hustle don't like I don't know, it's just But then again, he's like he's laughing while he's cashing that check. It has a nice ass check point being that happened this weekend, and it was funny because I had a friend say that he bought a ticket, which was $50. But he was watching for the Mike Tyson fight, not the Jake Paul, but he was like, Who's this Jake? Paul dude? And I was like, Oh, I got you. I'll fill you in It was just interesting. Also, apparently, Snoop Dog was there. I don't know, you know, for 50 bucks Thio to see all that, plus musical artists like that Sounds like you want the money to see five fights. So it's already $10 a fight and you know, some musical and why she and y g I pay. Never forget when you before I was gonna say literally, I was going to say never forget when you tried toe, hire him to, you know, go to your birthday. You never forget when I blacked out at his concert. Never forget when I saw him perform at the Revolve Revolve thing. Never forget when I almost paid him to come to my birthday. Let me let me rephrase. Not come to your birthday party, but perform I birthday party. You imagine if you just paid him to come? I would also do that, though. That's the thing.
