after Cynthia Vigil escaped and David and Cindy were arrested, this case got national coverage. A deputy from Albuquerque heard this story and realized that he knew a possible victim. So in February 1999 Angelica Montano had gone over to David, David and Cindy's house. After she told Cindy that she was baking a cake and kneaded flour, they were friends. Cindy invited her over to borrow the flour, and all of a sudden she pulled out a gun and David a big knife. Angelica thought this was all a joke until they grabbed her and made her swallow and orange pill. This didn't have the desired effect. Um, which was possibly toe, you know, make her very sleepy and pass out. She was tortured and raped for four days. One day she overhear David and Cindy talking about how they were going to kill her and and an Angie decided that she was going to win over David and make him released her unharmed. So she started to be nice to him. She told him to hug her because she felt very lonely to please let her go, and she swore she wouldn't say anything, so he decided to let her go, telling her quote, If I knew you were this nice, I never would have taken you end quote. Oh, Jesus. David then left her at a bus stop and she started hitchhiking and a car stopped to let her in. Inside was a deputy, she told him, quote, I've just been raped and tortured for four days. End quote. And she went on to explain everything that had happened to her. But the deputy did. The deputy did it. Oh, my God. The deputy didn't believe her. Mhm. He thought that the fact that she spoke of what happened with such ease meant it wasn't true. The deputy tried to remember her name, but couldn't. And after months, Angelica came forward and told the police what happened. She was the victim the deputy had been speaking about. Yeah, So inside the toy box, there were various videotapes with victims on them, and the police tried to go through them. The FBI went through them and they found one ah, woman with a small tattoo of a swan on her ankle. And the FBI decided to try and look up the victim. The day was July 1996 on the videotape, and her name was Kelly Garrett. On July 24th, 1996 19 year old Kelly Garrett or Kelly Van Cleve, as she sometimes known, had just spent had just had a fight with her husband of just nine days. She went out and decided to spend the rest of the night playing pool with her friends, and she was a designated driver. She got together with Jesse Ray, as I said before, David Parker raised daughter and they went over to the Blue Water Saloon into their consequences. New Mexico. Since she was a designated driver, she was only gonna have one beer. Her friends left, and it was just her and Jesse hanging out when all of a sudden Kelly started feeling dizzy, Jesse suggested that they that she was drunk and that they go stay over her dad's house. They got to David's house. Kelly received a load of the head from behind, which knocked her unconscious After four days of torture, David brought her over to her house, where her husband had been waiting for days and was worried, so he he brought her back home like it's insane. What the fuck Her family was this to people they know like I don't Her family was at their house also, and David was wearing a cop uniform and said that he had found her on the road in the middle of nowhere. Kelly explained that she had been with a friend. She had one beer and that was it. That's that's all, she remembered. Her husband didn't believe her and kicked her out of the house. Come on. David took her over to her friends, which she would stay. Kelly really had no idea what had happened to her at all, but she was very bruised and sore, but that's it. And after some time, she started having nightmares where she was tortured and raped. But she had no idea where all this imagery was coming from. Yeah, the FBI had been trying to contact woman with the woman with a small tattoo. Um, and Kelly realized it was her and came forward toward the police, and it's horrible. They showed her the tape and many, many pictures, and it was her. She remembered details, but, um, and she was the one actually who turned in Jesse Rae as David Accomplice. Yeah, but can you imagine? Just like living your life with this weird dream that you're having or this feeling. And then all of a sudden it was like, Hey, you were tortured and raped for four days. Like how the fuck do you get over that? Yeah. So after David and Sandy were arrested, Cindy Cindy snitched the house like they always like. They always dio she turned in David on a plea deal that had included a reduced sentence. She mentioned one Ray had murdered 14 women and that the bodies were in the Elephant Butte Reservoir and some in the backyard. They dug up the backyard, but they didn't find much. Okay, She explained how Ray tortured his victims, which included a mirror stuck on the ceiling in a video camera with a screen to his victims towards his victims so they could see exactly everything that was happening to them. She says that David had a wooden contraption that he would have women been over and immobilized so that David and Cindy's darker raped them, and sometimes they would have them immobilized on that contraption and other friends would come over and raped them. also, and David had Dennis, Roy, Jens and his daughter, Jessie. Ray David had the murder. A woman called Marie Parker, who is Marie Park. In July 1997 22 year old mother of two, Marie Parker had a very bad meth addiction, and while at the Blue Water Saloon, Jesse drugged her and took her over to David's to David's. After three days of torture, David told Dennis to kill Marie and Dennis. Ryan C goes over, strangles her and then takes her body toe a canyon and throws her down. A rooming okay. Dennis Ato moment of his arrest admits that him and Jesse did abduct Marie and took her to the toy box. He said that David and Jessie urged him to kill Marie, and he did admit to killing her. David threatened him and told him not to say anything. Dennis Rienzi was arrested in a motel on April 9th, 1999. Jesse says that she didn't do absolutely anything, but she does admit that in the early 19 nineties she told the FBI that her father, David, had been going down to Mexico, kidnapping women and bringing them back to the toy box, and she said that he murdered them also, so we don't know how many. Uh, okay, the FBI did talk to David Parker Ray in this moment, but nothing came out of the accusation. So in December 1999 Cindy Handy got 36 years for testifying against Ray Dennis. Roy. Yancey got to 2 15 year sentences for second degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. So 30 years in 2001, Jesse Rae was found guilty for kidnapping women for sexual torture and was sentenced to nine years, six of which could be served out of prison and on parole. In 2002, David Parker Ray was tried separately for each victim. He was sentenced to 224 years, and he wasn't convicted of murder. But they suspected that he had 40 to 60 victims who could have been killed or just tortured and raped. Like there's no way to know how many victims he had. Or like these women, um, innocent until proven guilty. Technically like you can If there's no evidence, they can't really charge them of anything off. No murder. Sorry. Of course. Yeah. On May 28th 2000 to David Parker. Ray was being transferred to the cell where he would spend the rest of his life when he suddenly got a heart attack and died in the Lee County Correctional Facility facility. He died a free man at the age of 62. He didn't serve a day of his sentence.
