that be? How did you hear about us? Yeah. So I walked into rar one day on a Saturday. I think I believe it. I got to cut in front of in front of the line, and I love doing that. E walked in, uh, Danny's there along with Natalie, I believe. And Sam, maybe, um And yet Danny introduced herself to me as pink boots, and they taught me, um, away to join. They taught me what they what they do. Just being a group of women in the industry. And to me, working at rock. I was like women in the industry. What does that mean? All right. Are you serious? Like the other women? E. So, uh, I joined immediately. I, like, went and I went online. And I got my, uh, my group membership. And I've been a member for about a year now, and it's just been learning constantly learning. And I love it. So awesome. Uh, this is Betsy. I was at the bearded monk in Denton, which is Ah, badass little bottle shop, having a drink with a friend. And I saw a group of ladies sitting on the couch talking, and there was a little pink boots sitting on the table, and I've been working in a brewery for probably about a year of that point. I had been in the craft beer industry for eight or nine years. I've heard about pink boots, but the name can sound off putting. If you're a tomboy like Oh, yeah, pink boots. I literally own nothing pink, not even boots. I'm so sorry. Um and so I liked the idea of the organization, but I hadn't reached out. And so I just happen to stumble upon this meeting at the bearded Monk and sat down with these ladies, and they were so welcoming and so fun and so kind that I ended up joining like that night or the next day. Surprising. My story is a little bit different. I learned about pink boots because my friend Mary is it. Shout out to marry a set of fifth Hammer brewing in New York. She held an event at her brewery on she invited all the women that she knew, whether they were bartenders or enthusiasts and beer or writers. India to come out to the brewery and do a collab. And I was like sure I'm down. And when we got there, it was almost like Ah, Paywall. She was like, Hey, ladies have to tell you about this organization called. She's like So this is what they dio and this is what we're gonna dio. But, uh, they exist. And I was like, Okay, cool. And then before we knew it, there were 40 women in the room who, like, literally came out of the woodworks. No one was a part of Pink Foods. We were just women in New York and she introduced it to us. And that day we brewed, uh, my very first kettle sour on and I was pregnant and my daughter was there and I was on deck Mona milling the grain and smashing in and watching the boil. And I looked down from that roof deck and watched women fill the room, drink beer, participate, teach, encouraged my daughter, who was, I think, for the time on I was like, Wow, look at what women can do when we come together on it impressed me and I wasn't ah, comfortable joining until I got to Texas on these women here hounded me like blowing on my phone like Sam would always text me. We gotta meet and come. We gotta meet and come and I'm like, Okay, fine. I'll come. And they just made me feel like I was at home. They made me feel like I was welcomed. They made me feel like I was needed in the industry where I had felt otherwise. A nuisance to the industry. They made me feel like, No, we need you. We want you Please be a part of us. And, um, I was invited into the home about former co chair Britney Shout out toe Britney, we love you, and we miss you. And I gotta tell you, I've never had an experience like that in my entire life. And Betsy, being a badass that she is having lived in New York, just made me feel like Oh, yeah, she could be here. Then I could definitely be here with with my personality. And so I joined as soon as I earned my 1st $20 in beer after 66 years on, um, yeah,
