okay, we're back with Lords Cheney and back from a seven log break. You're looking, you're looking thinner. I'm looking fat, lovely to see you again. What was that like to like all of a sudden be like stopped and being told that you guys had start production. I mean, you know, you know what it's like when you're on drag race, you get the call, you're like, oh my God, this is it. This is the moment. But because everything had gone so well, you know, not only you get the call, You're doing really well in the competition. Rupaul's real good banter with you. It's all fun. Then all of a sudden it's already a pinch me. I'm dreaming moment. Then production stops and you're told, excuse me, there's this thing called the coronavirus. You all need to go back home and I genuinely was like the corona virus, I'm gonna be reporting from that are gonna Corona, I live. But for example, I remember, you know, we were told, right, you know, we're going to stop and we're going to keep the set up, we'll see how long this lasts. And I was like, I've died. Yeah, I'm dead. I must have like fallen asleep, died in my sleep. Something that happened like, because I was like, I'm going to go back and it will be like a zombie moving Glasgow, like, you know what I mean? Like I was, it was terrifying because it never happened before. So it was like, is it going to be for two weeks? Is that a month? So we didn't know like at first I didn't unpack and then you kind of have to unpack because you have to do drag still to stay because everyone knows you're rumored and everything. So you've got to be like, here's my new shit, you know? But it was just really uh uncomfortable really because could you Rhinestone more of an outfit or are you gonna get told tomorrow you're leaving again? So it was scary, but it ended up being seven months long, so it was fabulous. Did you think that it was ever gonna happen again? Like, Because like, never, I thought genuinely, I was like, oh, they're gonna jump straight forward to series three, they're gonna drop our season. Oh yeah, because to me, I just thought it was taking so long. I was like, they're just going to scrap that and start fresh again. They're gonna do rats the musical again when you set of queens and they're just gonna forget about us. So it was it was stressful, really all like that because we can make up. Yeah, especially on lockdown when you have like nothing but your thoughts to deal with even more dangerous. Lawrence you are the queen on the show. I feel like a lot of us were able to um to get to know because you were really open and brave about how you felt and you weren't afraid to like just tell us the audience where you were coming from, like where your sense of humor comes from and that and you're all those vulnerabilities that you have. And so I can see like being stuck in uh in your house, like not knowing, like thinking of the worst. But ultimately as a viewer, I think that because you were able to show that like we as an audience got to fall in love with you a lot more and get to know you a lot better. Well, it was it was really weird because I I love like, you know Bianca del rio, so funny and I love her hair, I love the way she makes dresses. She, she is like I remember seeing her on tv with her like up dues and everything. I was like, wow, she's really cool, love that. And I remember saying, I love how she just bats out these one liners, but then it was, you know, I host my shows and I'm very funny, but it is that kind of, it's the one note funny for the club thing and my mom told me before going to drag race the first time, she was like, Lawrence, you're really funny, don't hide the real you because what makes your drag special is everything you've overcome to get to this. So I was like, I didn't know my mom was looking after that much, you know, it was, it was really sweet. But yeah, I really kind of wanted to, you know, for bad or good, you know, I want to say, well listen I'm annoyed or listen I'm feeling upset today or feel uncomfortable. I just wanted to be really open rather than being like hidden behind this like well we need to make it work so it just needs to do that you know I was like hold off and just let everything that kind of swing out. Some of that one of drag race you make this plain girl you experience though. The thing that I cherish in life when love is not directed at me but when recall loses her absolute shit and comes out of her character and she flipped out about that no fucking H. And M. Dress baby. How was that live and in person? Yeah well I'll let you know because I won that week so I didn't need to be there for that but but something something that made it worse though was we saw it on on tv months later, we just got told about it backstage. Rupaul went nuts and Rupaul went crazy and I was like no, I couldn't believe it because rude being so nice and welcoming and I was like are we are you talking about the group? All I know like is this a person? But you know, I get it you know cause you know I come from the Scottish drag scene where there isn't a lot of money so you can get something out the charity shop out of somewhere and just glittery Rhinestone it cut it to make a crop shoppers, cut other things and make it something special. Yes, that that that that was what I took from Rupaul, you know? Whereas everyone else is like well Rupaul's a millionaire and report and I was like yeah, but it's like she's saying what we're all saying and you joe's dressed as well. But what because you are unlike minimum wage, that's fine for you to have that. Like it was weird how it was like, well Rupaul is a millionaire. So many weird message was to make it special. We are dragging your on the biggest stage in the world and to have something off the rack that has no kind of your personality um invested into it. Makes it cheap. It cheapens the experience. Even if it's a cheap dress, you can make it that show. You know. Of course, of course fail or something like. Whoa girl! Yeah. Yeah. No, it was it was very uh funny, you know what's sitting back when you've got another bad like, but then going into the next week Snatch game. That's why I was like getting ready to be read by Rupaul. I was like, oh God, started crying, but room was just so sweet. So I was like, it's nice that he gets people that are putting an effort, even if it's like, oh, I could see you were trying, but it just didn't work like that you brought up the Snatch game because like, you know, now that you've done it, you know, you got it on your belt, you've done it, you've experienced it, you know what to expect if you could do it over, who would you?
