On today's episode, O'Dell kicks things off with another true story that inspired an urban legend which has also inspired themes in several horror movies. Today's story is that of The Moonlight Murders which took place in Texarkana in 1946. This was the source material for the 1976 movie "The Town that Dreaded Sundown", as well as the inspiration behind the urban legend of the madman with a hook who stalked teens who would "park" along dark country roads. Erin continues the episode with the alleged suicide (but probably not) of Rebecca Zahau who was found hanging from the balcony of her millionaire boyfriend's mansion. Did she really kill herself? We think not - and the more we think about it, the more all signs point to The Joker. O'Dell closes the show with an In Memoriam about a Florida man and a stubborn window.Chapters: 00:00 - Intro 00:17 - Welcome back 01:49 - O'Dell's Story: The Moonlight Murders 27:56 - Erin's story: The Alleged Suicide of Rebecca Zahau 49:11 - In Memoriam: Florida Man Meets Windowhttps://www.patreon.com/someoneprobablydied?fan_landing=true (Support us on Patreon)Check out our website at https://someoneprobablydied.com (someoneprobablydied.com) for more information on this week's episode, including links to resources and videos mentioned during the show.If you have a creepy story or unsolved mystery that you'd like to share with us, send us a message to killerstory@someoneprobablydied.https://www.instagram.com/someoneprobablydied/ (Follow us on Instagram)
