The Cannabis 101 Podcast is your guide through the legalization and consumption of cannabis in Canada and beyond. It’s not just about getting high, it’s about getting healthy. Catch Hour One on Tuesday and Hour two on Wednesday. David Wylie of the oz joins me each week to discuss the latest on This Week in Cannabis News. Things happen fast in the still developing cannabis industry and we’ll bring you the top stories. The fight to be on equal footing continues for the cannabis space as retail workers in B.C. are considered essential workers but they are not getting essential workers pay. Meanwhile, the publisher of High! Canada has irresponsibly endorsed a black market company. It's a dangerous move as it undercuts so much work that people in the industry have done to gain the trust of consumers. For a magazine that wants to be a credible source for cannabis, this is simply wrong!A while back we had a vape crisis because of black market vapes, and now it seems there is a vape shipping crisis. American companies are not able to ship their products, or it is going to be very expensive to do that. If Federally legal, this likely wouldn't be a problem, but it does give Canadian companies an advantage. If Americans can't ship to Canada, consumers North of the border can get their vapes pens locally, like at Stone Smiths' for example. Finally, we touched on some pretty huge predictions for the Canadian Cannabis industry in six years. The future looks bright if you believe it, but many things have to happen when it comes to regulations in Canada for the nearly 9 Billion dollar mark prediction to come true.
