Welcome back for another episode on Fit To Be Fierce Friday! I have some big news this week, but I have to wait until next week’s show to share it. Trust me, it’ll be worth the wait! This week, I dove right into the good stuff. A question I get asked all the time is “What the heck is a macro?” If you know anything about me, you may know I’m a nutrition coach, and the underlying foundation of my program is “macronutrient tracking”. What the f**k is that? It’s a big, hairy, ugly phrase for “food accountability” by way of tracking the foods you put in your body.In this episode, I break down just what macros are, how they are counted, why they matter, the benefits of tracking them, and some important considerations. So many people hear about tracking macros and rush to give it a try by punching some numbers into a calculator, and I explained exactly why I HATE this approach. It doesn’t take in enough information to give you an accurate number, and on top of that, everyone’s body is different! The best way to ensure you’re taking in the right amount of food is to work with someone who knows what they are doing--an expert. I’m helping people eat more than they ever have, enjoy their favorite foods, and lose weight every single day with the information I give in this episode, and I’d love to chat more with you about it too!If you want to learn the basics to setting up your own macros, shoot me a message (IG: @thejoshpierce) or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, and I’m happy to share the email series I put together on how to tell if you’re eating enough and how to set up your macros, if you’re not. As always, rate this episode and share it with a friend, if you learned something! Until next time!
