Dr. Jacob Benton wants to see his son, Tom, follow in his footsteps to the medical field, but Tom lost interest in medicine when he met Nita. Jacob despises Nita as she is from the wrong side of town, bringing shame to the Benton name. Jacob's nephew, Harvey, though, is on the fast track to be a doctor, but Harvey too wants to marry Nita. After Tom and Nita elope, they are both involved in a small plane crash and Jacob and Harvey are the responding doctors. Tom survives, but when he learns of his wife's death, he blames his father for not trying hard enough to save her. Is Tom correct? Would Jacob kill his daughter-in-law? What about the jealous Harvey? The Whistler knows.
