But I think the one thing you have to realize that the more you try and experiment, the more you get better at it, right? As long as you remain consistent, you will continue to get better. And as long as you are open to experimenting to try new things and to mess up and to fail and to maybe be made fun of in certain times. That's the way you do things you might be criticized because you're doing something different than everybody else. People don't like to see that because it's out of their comfort zone. They don't want to do something different. But if you continue to do something different, even if it's using reasonable shopping bags or a reasonable water bottle or a plastic straw or not a plastic straw, metal straw, people see you doing those eco friendly things and maybe they'll say, well, if if Andrew is doing it, maybe I should do it. Maybe I can do it right. And it makes it, you lead by example, may not be perfect at it. But if you continue to do it, people will start to, we'll start to see it, start to see it happen, right? So I think the understanding is that you may never be perfect, but there's definitely a scale of value and learning as you grow and as you get better and as you try more right? Like I said before with the whole Tiktok thing, I'm not perfect at it and I'm not consistent at it, but I try to keep going and I have fun doing it and once it's done, I I know the feeling and once it's done, I've accomplished something and you'll never know what you can do until you start. It's really that simple. And I think it's something that we really need to take to heart. We really need to build on. And to be honest, that's conservation and nutshell, think about how many times we fail the conservation before we could put in a marine protected area. The ross sea marine protected area has rejected a number of times before it was actually accepted over a 20 year period. Think about how many species, how many individuals we lost within that that protect that, what would have been a protected area. But we kept fighting and fighting and fighting. The people who are working at it were patient and they eventually got the one of the largest, probably the largest M. P. A. At the time in the world. Right? And now it's sort of a uh it's leading by example for the eastern antarctic marine protected areas. Right? And so by doing that by consistently try and being patient and trying and trying and trying and not worrying about failing. You can become somebody who lives for a better ocean very quickly before you know it all of a sudden, you're like, I'm gonna try something new, right? I'm gonna try not using, you know when I buy containers, I'm gonna try buying uh materials or products that are refillable. So I'm using the same container over and over again. Think about that. Think about how important that would be. That little change. Think about that. You're just changing where you're getting your products into refillable areas, maybe at a zero waste store, you decided to look it up. You don't go out that right away, but eventually you go and then you get your things and that's the change. And then all of a sudden now you're like, that was easy, I can do that again. I'm gonna do it again. I'm gonna try new products. They may not always work out for what you want, but you're trying new products, you can't say, people can't say anything because you're trying, you're doing something that's important. I feel like a coach right now, you know, you gotta try telling my kids my my girls when they're hot, when were coaching hockey just got to try, you gotta try and do it. If you don't try, you'll never know that you can accomplish it and after you accomplish it, even after you try, you're going to feel good about yourself because eventually you'll be able to accomplish it. And I think that's really important to know that, you know, as adults, as kids, that we need to be out of our comfort zone, we need to try and we need to learn to fail and then learn from our mistakes and then continue to grow. And that's how we grow and that's how we live for a better
