we just had a nice little weekend of some UFC fights. But the main fight I'd like to cover was the sunday night Floyd Mayweather Logan Paul eight Round exhibition from the army. Yeah. You do want to talk about this. I want to talk about it too. But I want to talk about my disappointment in this one man. I was expecting Floyd Mayweather to put it on on Logan paul. But I feel like he just carried him the entire night. Yeah. Lloyd did not really take any risk. Yeah, Kind of let him have his full eight rounds I assume based on how Floyd Floyd Mayweather structures has pay per view deals. He wasn't trying to stop that fight. There was a cut of pay per view and he wanted to make that fight go as long as possible just in case someone bought a paper you buy with like 10 seconds left in the fight because you want to make 60 bucks. She wanted that extra 60 bucks because um yes, he saw, he did an exhibition a couple of years ago against tension Asakawa, there was no pay per view deal and he knocked him out in the first round and that was that there's no pay per view deal and you give Floyd a flat a flat B. He's going to go get his flat, sleep flat fee and get on out of there. You know, I um when we compare both those matches, um the attention was much smaller guy than Logan paul, but I just feel like when it comes to Floyd Mayweather and we're talking about exhibitions, um it's definitely about the dollars and I I don't know how much of that is being, this is me being completely honest. I don't know how much of that is real man. Um The tension Asakawa match, I feel like tension and went flying across the ring and Floyd has hit other guys much harder and they don't, they don't fall back the same way, but then the Logan qualify um there's, there's a conspiracy theory going around. Have you seen the video where Floyd kinda clips him with an overhand right behind the air and looks like Logan paul is is kind of faded and may what's holding him up. Yeah, I think well from that angle it definitely looks like rock. I've seen some other angles and it doesn't look as bad, but he was definitely carrying him for that fight and and hats off the Logan paul. Great athletes, strong dude, Much bigger. Probably outweighed Floyd by almost 40 lb by the time they got into the ring. Not an easy task for florida put away a guy like that. He probably could have put him away if he really wanted to just pieced them up and finish them. But Lloyd has always other plans. Maybe he would like to, maybe he wanted to look close, maybe he wanted to see how much money this fight made and do a rematch. Maybe he likes to like there's another brother, so there's a it he's playing a lot of storyline to get more money. He says he's probably done with exhibitions, but the maritimes Floyd said he's done and that's it. It's very hard to keep up with and it's very hard to believe words that come out of his mouth. Money money, he's Floyd money. Mayweather and money would get that guy out of bed for another exhibition. I doubt you'll see him in a professional about, but I wouldn't doubt you see him against Connor McGregor. If you see him against jake paul, if you see him, these are these are matches that people for some reason want to watch. You know, Logan Paul made about $20 million dollars to fight Jon Jones can't get 10 to fight for the heavyweight title. And it just shows you where the general public looks at the sport and they like the circus matches. They like these, we're in the era of celebrities fighting. You've seen Mike Tyson Fight Roy Jones 25 years after their prime, we've seen uh, all sorts of weird thriller, celebrity fight happening and there's, there's many more, I work deep in the fight world at Pluto Tv and do a lot of licensing the amount of people that have reached out to me with the weirdest type of matches and type of things and team fighting and everyone thinks that they can recreate fighting and come up with something new to get a quick cash grab and maybe they will. But I don't have a ton of interest in this fight was interesting because watching thrillers, production and watching the show times production, my eyes and my brain are much more sound with the way Showtime produces things. We then when I watched a trailer, it looks like uh a B movie that that for some reason has top professional fighters fighting in this little tiny cage or ring. I feel you, it's like you ask your mom and bring you frosted flakes and she brings your sugar flakes, right? It's like almost there. And yeah, and you see when I look at trill er the amount of celebrities that are there, then the the production kind of lot and the actual, like, care for the actual fight kind of lack. It always seems like a little bit of an afterthought. So for me, I'm also a little biased, I work for Viacom. Cbs. We we own Showtime, but also Showtime is the with HBO boxing out of the way, there really isn't even a comparison when it comes to production and level of fighters. Short time boxing is the leader. So show time to give jake and Logan boxing deals and tire in boxing deal. It's good. It's good. I'd rather see these guys fight good fighters When we're talking about the paul brothers then fighting former basketball players and fighting other youtubers. Put them if they if they want to fight, put them in on some good production and put them against good fighters. I'm always down because half of that fight, like half of the two guys fighting is a good fighter. I was just looking at Floyd when I watched Tyron against jake paul, I'll be looking at tyrant, at least as one World Class Athlete In There. It's more justifiable than seeing too non world class athletes fight each other an exhibition. I, I see what you say and I agree there's something you said, there's a couple things you said that I want to put together. You said the words that come out of Mayweather's mouth and then you started talking about jake paul and Tyron Woodley. And when Mayweather said he'd like to get Tyron Woodley and into his camp and train him for the jake paul fight, that interests me because um, I think we both agree that Mayweather carried Logan paul through this fight, but so to the, to the untrained eye, it may look like it was competitive to some degree. Um Would with the Woodley fight and jake paul Woodley and jake paul if I will that look similar to an untrained eye or will it even look competitive to us? That that's what my that's what I'm concerned about because this, like we said, this one was a carry. I really, really feel like this one was a carry. But um is that fight going to be any different? Is that fight gonna be malicious to these guys? Like the bad blood that seems to be between them? Is that gonna gonna turn this fight into something a little more exciting? And and and it's Woodley going to try to finish this fight and it's jake, Does jake paul belong in there with a guy like tyra? He belongs in there more than his brother belonged in there with blood?
