Health care professionals - from doctors to therapists to coaches – are starting to understand that mindfulness can be an effective new tool to help their patients overcome health issues, build healthier habits, and create better long-term outcomes.

But what exactly *is* mindfulness? What is the evidence behind it? What conditions does it help with? And how do you introduce it to your patients or clients in a way that fits into your already busy schedule?

The course will help primary care and other health care providers understand how our brains form unhealthy habits that lead to common yet difficult to treat conditions such as obesity and anxiety, what mindfulness is (and isn’t), how mindfulness works in the brain to effect behavior change, what the current evidence base is behind it, how it can help us “hack” our brains for better health, and how you can apply the learnings to your patients.
