I figured, you know what? I can figure this out later. So the Master's program and I was able to get a fellowship that really changed the truth the course of my trajectory. Um, it took graduate students and put us in K 12 classrooms and it was the whole goal was from the National Science Foundation and they wanted to make sure that all of the scientists coming out of programs could speak to the public and it was such an amazing program to have been able to come into. Um, and it really changed my, I wouldn't say it changed how I explain things because I've always had the idea that I want to explain it to my mom who is not a scientist and if she can't understand, I need to work on how I'm explaining it. Um, yes, if it's too jargon heavy, it's not going to fly, I need to be able to do it. So I've always had that mindset, but to be able to explain it to kids, there's even a whole nother level. Um and definitely it was just so it was gratifying to see the difference you could make in kids and teachers lives like one on one explaining these things. Yes, I just decided okay, I'm I'm done with this research at the lab down to turn this anymore. I'm going to start studying people. And so yeah, we started a learning sciences program at the university I was at at the time and I was the first person to go through it and I got to study and learn chemistry and I did qualitative research which is my absolute favorite kind where I get to interview people and asked all sorts of questions and truly understand what they think. So like mental models like what what is this exception you have on paper like can I draw it? What is this?
