Emily Ross is a business strategist, advisor, and startup mentor. She is founder of Inkvine, an international growth partner for award-winning technology firms across AI, IoT, Cybersecurity and ecommerce. She writes, lectures and speaks on communications in a digital age. She co-founded SportsTech Ireland in 2017 to help position Ireland as a leading destination for sports innovation and investment. She holds multiple qualifications in Marketing, PR and Analytics, and is an advisory board member for SXSW Pitch, Sure Valley Ventures and GoGreen Routes, a H2020 funded, pan-European research project on urban sustainability and health.

yeah, if you're not going to push yourself outside your comfort zones, then you don't know what you can do what you can do what your potential is. Absolutely. And I think I learned that actually later in life as well from sports because I started rowing when I was in my thirties and you know, it's one of those funny sports where, I mean the skill involved, but a lot of it is also about how willing are you to endure a certain amount of discomfort in order to, you know, get the score you want or finish the race the way you want. Um And so yeah, I think resilience is definitely a trait that can be nurtured in both entrepreneurship uh and and and and in sports. But yeah, I've definitely learned and I think a lot of us during the pandemic have learned that to that resilience and grit is goes a long way for sure.
