from November 18 oh three. A number of people in Hammersmith area claimed to have seen and some have been attacked by a ghost. Local people said the ghost was of a man who had committed suicide the previous year had been buried in Hammersmith churchyard. The contemporary belief was that the suicide victim should not be buried and, um, consecrated ground because he committed a Z their souls would not have been. We have not have then been at rest because of the because they committed suicide because of uh, no, they It says that they shouldn't be buried in some type of and the consecrated ground as their souls would not then be at rest. So something with them being buried under some type of some type of layer, whatever they their souls are not resting. Their souls can come up through the ground, very depending on what they're buried under what I was what I was thinking from what you said about it being a Catholic or whatever is that in some religions, I believe in Muslim religion, Muslim faith, and then Jewish religion as well. It's like if you commit suicide, you don't get to get buried in a. They don't you don't get to go to the afterlife that they say you can't commit. That's not You can't go to heaven if you commit suicide. But whatever. Whatever those religions idea of heaven is, that's what I thought you meant. Like they committed suicide. So don't bury him. But I don't. But yeah, that's why I think this dude was buried near a church like wherever that church waas he was that. But he's burned. So the operation was described as being very tall and dressed in all white, but was also said to where a calfskin garment with horns in large glass eyes. At other times, that's demonic. So this where it gets sketchy when you got two people seeing seeing two. Different because one goal sounds like like like heaven ghost and the other one sounds demonic horns, lambskin or shit or whatever. So stories about the goals soon began to circulate. Two women, one elderly elderly and the other pregnant were reported to have been seized by the ghost on separate occasions while walking near the churchyard like a possession, or just grabbed um, grabbed. Yeah, good possessions. They were apparently so frightened. They both died from shock a few days after. These were both older women. One was elderly, one was pregnant, so one was was young. Okay? A Brewers servant, Thomas Groome, later testified that while walking through the churchyard with a companion one night at close to 9 p.m. Something rolls from behind a tombstone and seized him by the throat. Hearing the scuffle, his companion turned around, at which the ghost gave me a twist around and I saw nothing. E gave a bit of a push out with my fist and felt something soft like a great coat. Oh, so there's been another person who actually been attacked by this. Go now. When he said behind the tombstone, I figured it was like a little kid, hands like peeking out from the tombstone. And then his whoever he's walking with wasn't was talking, not even pay attention. And he's getting attacked and choked s. So anyway, I was e It's like that joke. When you two people walking, one just stops and then you just you're not painting. Yeah, sometimes the stories that good man. On December 29th, William Gertler, a night watchman, saw the ghost saw the ghost while near Beaver Lane and gave chase the operation throughout this route and managed to escape. So where they're saying it's wearing some kind of invisibility cloak. I'm like, Yeah, I'm like, Well, everybody's been saying has been white. So it could be some white transparent looking cloth or whatever. Like the clan? Possibly. But not in England, though. No eso with London not having an organized police force again. This is 1800 at the time, and as many people were very much frightened. According to Gertler, several citizens formed armed patrols in hopes of apprehending the ghost. So, militias, Now I would love to be that I would love to be a flat on the fly on the wall, as they say, to hear this conversation. They do say that to hear people say we should get together and try to catch a ghost. Yeah, if you ever seen that video, that dude, uh, it's a bunch of dudes. It's like in this black neighbor. They're like it's a dead serious news reporting there, like this neighborhood in Houston, Texas, says that they saw a leper con, and then they cut down to the people, and it's just it's so embarrassing. Hey, if y'all saw a leper con se Yeah, dude got gold teeth in his mouth, and then this dude comes up, He's wearing a bulletproof vest. He goes, This is a relic handed down to me by my It looks like, uh ah, pipe that he stuffed some four leaf clovers into And he goes, I'm a leper con hunter e I don't think so. These are real people, so yeah, it's not a leper con. It was in the trees. You'll start a leper. Con se. Yeah. Now, I don't know if there this is more serious Gaggle of people wanted Hunter ghost, but I would assume their mentality. Is justus foolish? Is those people? Yeah. You're talking about getting together to hunt ago. But there's also show on TV called Ghost Hunters. And those people are serious. Well, I don't Yeah, but they use technology. The heat, since these people are not chasing chasing one with, like a stick. Yeah. Grab keeping hostage and lock it up like a thing. Like grabbing it like it's free. Yeah, Theo Guy that works at the corner minister or something crazy like that, uh, eso at the corner of Beaver Lane while making his round at about at around 10:30 p.m. On January 3rd. 18 oh four. GERD Lor met one of the armed citizens patrolling the area. Ghost Hunter. 29 year old excise officer Francis Smith. On with a shotgun. Smith told Gertler a shotgun. OK, Smith told you gonna do with that? I don't know. Smith told Girl that he was going to look for the supposed Coast girl. Agreed that he would join Smith after he had called that they had called the hour at 11 PM I feel like I see where this is going and that they would take the ghost. It's possible. Then they went their separate ways, so they was gonna meet up at 11 PM No go ghost hunting. And this guy's like I'm shooting Whatever this is that's out here, whatever it is flying, what I'm shooting
