But what was your main take away from climbing and summiting Everest in 2012 on Bond. You know, achieving this incredible goal that you set for yourself E s the main thing. I mean, it was so hard, like the two months we spent in there every single day was just like suffering Every single day I had to push myself pretty close to the limit. But then I had to do that every day after every other day. And then I guess, finally getting top. We're not just going to start getting back down to base camp and finally being safe again, stepping out the icefall after we'd summited back into the safety of base camp and getting upto a little mess tent, be able to sit down and have a cup of tea. I guess I just kind of learned from it'll that you can really achieve anything if you want Thio. All it really comes down to is like having enough determination and perseverance to keep going because your body can basically go through anything like my body was running on. Hardly any oxygen. Hardly any food. Hardly any water. But it kept moving and kept going forward because I wanted it to enough and they had enough determination to make keep pushing it forward, I guess. Where do you think you got that determination from? I d o not sure. Do you think it's something that z grown on developed through your previous challenges? Or do you or do you think it was just You got stronger and stronger or more determined as the time one, a two month time period went on? Yeah, I think definitely those early challenges I did in those those first few expeditions, um, India and South America were like, really challenging. And there were days where we'd be climbing or, like, cycling way over 5000 m. Remember days when I was, like 18 19 and just thinking how hard this is in those days, you really had to push through those limits. So I guess it's kind of a learn thing. What would you say? Apart from like the crossing the icefall? What was the hardest aspect off the challenge? Whether it was physical or mental, what was the what challenge did you need to overcome to achieve this incredible goal? Yeah, definitely mental, definitely all about the kind of mindset on the main thing was like the timeframe of the expedition. So from beginning to end, you know, you've got about 65 70 days ahead of you. So when you get the base camp in your based company looking at this huge mountain and you're there and you got a headache and you feel six, you just arrived at, like, 5200 m on dure. Looking at your thinking, how on earth am I going to get all the way out there on how How on earth am I going to keep doing this and keep climbing? Keep suffering for the next 65 days or so. So it's all about just taking it one day at a time and not thinking about that huge picture, really kind of separating yourself from from the amount of time you actually go to spend their Yeah, I guess seeing every day is like a six
