about my experience, you know I'm not saying that this happens with every single mexican um you know? But again I'm just talking about like for example growing up like it was a very small town in Oaxaca. And so I remember that uh I have asthma so I would get sick quite a bit, right? So we we didn't really call it la Broca right? We'll call it la curandera right? Which is like the one that heals. And so it would be this this lady that basically we use like different herbs, teas, uh different things to kind of get that evil spirit out of you. So that way it will heal you right? But nevertheless we do have like the negative side of it, right? So we do have la Broca which is emphasized of different um bad evil things that they will practice upon you because you either have done something to them or they're just like very evil individuals that are doing spells and doing different teas and different things to make sure that they're now put in like evil spirits on you or just sending you bad luck or things like that right? Is that we're like oh comes from? Yes yeah yeah or the egg you know? Yeah. So like you know like that was something that at least in my community it's something that we still actually use um you know those who don't know what is the egg thing? Well again I'm just gonna talk about me and the culture that I grew up. So the egg, it's just like basically um it's a nick right? And what if they do is they do Olympia, which Olympia means like a cleans and right, like you're cleaning those bad spirits. So they will literally um have like a broom, but that broom would be made out of herbs, right? And and and basically they kind of sweep you from head to toe and in the egg they also pass it around as in a way to collect all the bad um evil spirits, right? And then according to my mom, you have to throw it like whenever you are um throwing away the trash or the bad spirits, you throw it like facing it like backwards. So that way the bad energy states behind you and doesn't come before you anymore. Um so the idea is just a way that um it is to believe that it takes all the bad spirits away bad energies and it could sometimes he'll you um so I, you know, I am a believer of El Guero, I do believe that you know bad spirits are around and I do believe that you know, it could be helpful. Um so you know, again I'm speaking on, on my personal experiences with
