So a very good day everybody. It is four November and it has now turned to being cold. I speak as maybe figuratively cold because our cold here there's certainly nothing like the cold that you get in England down on the coast. However, if you go inland to the likes of Madrid it certainly will get colder there and anywhere where you've got mountains, you'll obviously find you'll have lots more cold as you go further higher. But let's go down to the frozen wastes of san juan Players and one an actual fact and find out, first of all, rob good morning to you. What's your weather like and how are you? Yeah. Good morning. Thanks. Come on everybody. I'm fine thanks. And looking out the window now out of the balcony it's a nice sunny day but it's not, it's obviously autumn. Some um as you mentioned that it does is getting quite cold and especially on the night. But one of the differences is when you go inland to Madrid in places like that, then it is a dry heat and it's a dry cold. Um What we get on the coast, we get humidity. So in the summer when it's hot we get a very humid heat and then during the winter when it's colder we get a very humid kind of cold. So it's difficult. Sometimes in the winter it doesn't matter how many layers of clothes you put on it, it still feels cold but during the day it's fine at night. Yes, you've got to wrap up at night now. Okay, well I think what we'll do, we'll start with a little bit of a review or a look back at the Champions League this week because obviously last night like you, I was watching the Liverpool game against Am Athletico and uh Simoni certainly he, I don't know whether it's his players or him. I suspect obviously that it's him. Um and it's rather silly because you know, by all means you want people to win. Of course you do. But he, some of his tactics are so grotesque really, aren't they? His team playing to get people sent off rather than playing football to win a game. Um not very impressed with his tactics and the more I think about it, I remember that ridiculous incident when Argentina managed to, as he thinks Argentina isn't it? He plays for um who played for I think you know, when they got Beckham sent off, I mean that was absolutely absolutely nonsense. Nobody has ever injured anybody from the position. Beckham's leg came back in. So Simoni is certainly an acquired taste. He's obviously been acquired and accepted well at Athletico. But for those that play him, he must get on your nerves. Well, yes sir, we own is we we benched him quite often though events because he's quite a character And yes, it was Simoni who got David Beckham who provoked David Beckham into making a stupid kick back at him in the 1998 World Cup semifinal Argentina against England um And he, that that is what set me on his like he's very, very competitive but he doesn't believe in fair play, he's got no concept of fair play so we can't blame it on him. Okay, let's go to the actual it was. Yeah, but that's that's the way he is as a manager as he was as a player. Let's go to the game then at Anfield because I really feared that like when Manchester United were coming to play um that they would want to really set out their stall and really go for Liverpool and quite honestly it was a bit of a nonevent as far as um Athletica were concerned that they just didn't turn up, did they? No, I would agree with that. Um perfectly vince I was surprised actually how poorly the federal government had played last night, especially in the two goals for For Lupul job just got one in the 13th and sorry, Amanda got one in the 21st minute, it was like their defense just didn't exist and it was like they had forgotten who they were playing. Um Let's face it, we're talking about the reigning league champions. Um we're not talking about second division opponent and they had just lost two weeks before in the previous Champions League match at home 23 against the people you would have thought they were not for it, but their defense was full of holes and they got one of their players Philippe they sent off just before halftime for a deliberate trip. I think it was a deliberate triple man, he wasn't it? When he when he just deliberately it's his back legs so he trips over himself and he got a direct red card. So yeah, I was very disappointed actually in the way that I physically Madrid played last night I imagine. Well you'll be happy. I'm quite happy actually stated that the poor as well. But Liverpool went to nil. But yeah, I was quite surprised at how badly athletic performance. I thought the trip wasn't, you know, I wasn't really thinking it was that bad but the arrogance of the player to totally refuse the referee when the referee called him back to obviously uh admonish him, I think that that was the that was the bit that
