Wales has been a mental health advocate for many years now, having dealt with PTSD after his first tour of Afghanistan, but he’s been called upon to comment on the issue again recently in view of the allegations of war crimes made against some highly decorated members of the SAS who also served in Afghanistan. The findings of the Brereton report into war crimes committed by Australian forces in Afghanistan were released in November 2020.
