We all have days where we feel like the world is stacked against us. When stress seems to be just that much more biting. In these moments, I find it enormously helpful to retreat to a calm place where instead of reacting, I can reconnect to an inner sense of stability. This meditation is about transporting to that place of timeless, stressless, inner strength. After all, strength lies not in how much you can lift, but in how much you can persevere through--and grow from--any challenge.  In the words of Elisabeth Kubler-Ross: “The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen.”









































Kyla Pearce is the Lead Yoga and Meditation Teacher for the LoveYourBrain Foundation. She conducts LYB’s yoga teacher training workshops to enable other yoga teachers to learn how to tailor these practices for the TBI community. She is passionate about making yoga accessible to TBI survivors so that they can direct their healing one breath at a time.
