This episode highlights Rukhsar Sadat, an Afghan refugee living in Washington state. Rukhsar shares her journey to the United States along with sharing stories of grief, guilt, and forced assimilation. She is a hardworking person doing the most to help her family and pursue law school to help refugees and immigrants. In this episode you can feel the love she has for people and the rage she feels against a system that has continued to displace her loved ones. We talk about the parallels across borders upheld by power and control--our goal is to connect the pieces in collective liberation. The love I feel for you is real. Enjoy!
