On this episode of On the Job With PORAC, PORAC President Brian Marvel and Vice President Damon Kurtz bring on PORAC Executive Committee Member Barry Donelan and PORAC Central Coast Chapter Director Mike Pruger to talk about the success of their Fund A Hero campaigns that were hosted by their associations and the benefits they raised.

Background
Back in December, Oakland POA was raising money for kids of former Oakland Police Sgt. Mark Dunakin and his wife Angela, who both lost their lives in a 10-year span. Sgt. Dunakin was violently killed while serving as an Oakland Police Officer on March 21, 2009. Within weeks, the goal of raising $60,000 had been reached.
Just south of Oakland, Santa Cruz DSA helped raise over $800,000 for the family of Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Sergeant Damon Gutzwiller, who was shot and killed in the line of duty on June 6, 2020.
