fries. Who? Now? That's some quality pastrami. Let's give the pastrami dog try. Super juicy, Super tender. Super delicious experience All the flavor for yourself. Well, pastrami is back at Wienerschnitzel e. Renee, you have patent. Well, thank you very much and hello, Patent. How are you? Hey, Renee. How are you? Oh, my gosh. Your voice sounds just like your voice in you. Very exciting to May. Oh, thank you so much. I don't even know if you're supposed to say thank you. Know what I just said? Because it was really weird. Well, I take it we're so excited that you're bringing your act July 23rd, Tuesday night at the bushnell bushnell dot org's from or information on there. But I just think you're such a great talent. And honestly, I don't know how I love you more as a comic actor writer or in that sci fi show. Happy. Thank you so much. I don't even know if you want to talk about happy because it is so wildly inappropriate. Yeah, it zone. Amazing. You know, it's, uh, it's Grant Morrison. It's Brian Taylor than getting to act opposite Chris Maloney is is just a treat It's amazing. It's great experience. Did you imagine the power of the voiceover? Because that's such a big part of acting now. And it's, I guess, it's always has been. But honestly, voiceover work is just so crazy, right? Yeah, I didn't I mean, I didn't know that that would be such a big element of it, but I'm glad that it is. It's really fun work to get to Dio. Do you prefer writing versus performing? Do you prefer the stand up and what's the difference is for you? I mean, do you feel more at home up on stage when it's you telling your stories there's such singular disciplines, it's really hard to compare them. It's not that I like one better than the other. I just like doing creative things, sort of ableto switch from acting to stand upto writing like and did constantly be able to have that variety of I'm very, very fortunate. So I don't try to compare them. I was so touched, and when you tell the story about talking about your your wife's passing with your child, I don't know if anybody else, but you could have told it in such a way to carry your audience with you on such a roller coaster and come out with a laugh. It was so beautiful and so gentle the way you did that. Did you have any trepidations whatsoever in telling that story or making that public before you did that? Oh, of course I did. You know, there was a lot of false starts and trying to figure out exactly how to talk about it. But that's how it is, I think was with any bit. But that one was just so much more intensified in terms of, you know, how do I approach this? How doe I set this into a standard backed. It was It was really rough. So, you know, to be able to pull that off felt very cathartic, I guess. Yeah. You know, I almost would imagine that it would be sort of like a little bit of therapy, uh, in a way. And and then, having revealed that, is there anything that you consider too personal to to reveal? I mean, there's always things that or just mine or, you know, any any creative person they get to decide. You know how much they you have Thio draw some boundaries or you start Thio, you know, kind of frayed at the edges. I guess so. But that that comes down to the individual performer. What he or she decides is, you know, public and what's private that comes down to the individual. I think you know another show that's pretty big here. And we're lucky enough to interview that. The cast for the Goldbergs. I adore that show. How do you find the different projects that Yeah, right. Like, how do you find that you're in such different all of your projects Air so unique unto themselves? Like, how do you figure that all out. I'm very lucky that I get offered this stuff. I mean, I don't know. I try not Thio really question where it all comes from them just very, very lucky in that sense, I guess. You know, they always say that comics are usually the ones that are the most emotional. They carry the most emotional baggage with them internally, and they're very, very sensitive. Would you agree and disagree with that? E think there has to be some level of heightened sensitivity If you're gonna look, find the absurdities and mundane life and, you know, kind of if you're gonna unveil it, actuality, you have to be, I think, a little, Ah, you have to be getting a broader band of signals, I guess from from life. But I don't know if that translates into the, you know, stereotypical sad clown or, you know, laughing on the outside, crying on the inside. Nonsense. I mean again. I just think it's maybe there's just levels of perception. Different levels of perception from people. Patton Oswald is going to be at the Bushnell Tuesday, July 23rd. He'll be performing a set for us. It cannot wait to see that. And, you know, patent. I'm so embarrassed to ask you this question because I probably should have known the answer to. But have you gone and performed at the Bushnell before in Connecticut? I think so. I can't remember. I'm sure I have, but I honestly can't remember right now. It's such a no, I'm sorry to. I probably should have known that information, but I have to tell you, it's such an iconic and legendary building in the state of Connecticut in our capital here, and it's the no, it really it's It's truly a beautiful, beautiful venue for you to be playing. And when you, when you get in there, if you have played before, you'll remember in two seconds because it's absolutely gorgeous. It's You could tell that it's got history and it's beautifully decorated and just, you know, it's It's just very classy and wonderful place to see a show. It's a great venue. Bushnell dot work for again to see Pat Nozzle July 23rd. But there's also a wall there that everybody has signed. I mean, all walks of performance. So you have to make sure you sign that wall, okay? Oh, yeah, definitely. Have to check that out. And ondas faras the Yeah, And as we're wrapping, I guess this will be my last question. As you're you know, you're performing. What is this? This show that we're going to see? Because I've seen so much of your stand up. I've seen so much of what you do. How are we going to see you in what little different nuances are you going to bring to this particular program? Well, I mean, I have It's an hour of new material
