This week’s podcast episode features an interview with Francine Vicki Golde, an American songwriter, musician, singer and writer. Her songs have appeared on more than 100 million records worldwide.  Golde has received awards for singles with several members of the music industry glitterati, including The Pussycat Dolls, Randy Travis, Selena, Jody Watley, the Commodores, Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston, Dennis Edwards/Siedah Garrett.  One of her songs has become the most frequently sampled tracks by rappers and dance artists internationally, including Snoop Dogg, TLC, Tupac Shakur, Junior M.A.F.I.A. with Notorious B.I.G., and Lauryn Hill.

 

Franne Golde has also created an eponymous fashion line that began with a pair of pants aptly named the “Magic Pant,” by Oprah’s style guru.  She continues to both write music and design clothing.  She is also a philanthropist and advocates for by serving and sitting of the board of Music Mends Minds, is a member of the Women's Alzheimer's Movement and has been honored as an "Architect of Change" by Maria Shriver.
