you love a challenge clearly because you jump from different instruments and I've seen you onstage and you guys just push each other and, you know, tell me about what it takes mentally to, you know, pick up a new instrument or learn a new song or pursue something. A new endeavor musically, Um, well, I mean, obviously, it's a lot of focus. It's a lot of, uh, self discipline and being able to, like, quiet yourself, sit down in one place, and basically you have to suck like any new thing that you're going to learn the first time you're going to do it unless you're like amazingly miracle talented, which is one in every billion people that's born or whatever, right. There's eight billion people in the world. There's only been one Jimi Hendrix. There's only been one. We picked up a guitar. It was like Wham! You know what I mean. And I feel like a lot of people have that expectation when they try to learn something new, where they're like, uh like, I'm just not getting frustrated, not, and that frustration is natural and it happens. But it's like having that discipline to quiet that voice in your head and be like, just keep doing it just pushed through and get the repetition in. Figure it out. Uh, maybe take a break, you know, like having that that discipline to sit down and practice and try to learn a new skill, and it kind of works with anything. But for me, it's always been instruments in my life where when I started making music electronically with able to and it was like at first I'm just I'm just playing around. I have no idea. There's a lot of red lines everywhere, like That's probably not good, but we'll figure it out. And, uh, you know, for months you're sitting there being like I don't know why I can't figure out how to get this sound. I don't know why I can't like I wanted to sound this way, but I can't do it. And if you just don't stop trying, eventually you're gonna figure it out. And then that's like the most rewarding feeling in the world when you really work hard and trying to get a new skill and and then you're like, Oh, well, I'm doing it, you know, like the first time that you ever rode a bike and you're like, Oh, God, I'm scared and fell down 100 times And then you finally get it and you're like, This is awesome. So that's that's happened to me more times than I can even think. I'm really grateful for that. But I feel like that's it's not the challenge so much. It's that feeling of like knowing that you challenge yourself and you accomplish something, Um, which, and if you go too hard about it, can be really hard on myself sometimes, too, you know what I mean? But yeah, it's really that's, like, the most satisfying feeling in the world to me. And that's why I feel like I always try to put myself out there and sit in with people that are better than me that have been playing longer than me. Um, because it's gonna make me raise my standards, gonna make me learn something. It's gonna make me probably do something. Make a mistake and, like think about it, analyze it, do it better next time, like you have to challenge yourself. Otherwise you're just it's stagnant. You know, you're the only way to, like, evolve and gross
