Okay now, where and how did lepre cons go from water sprites to land bound cobbler ferry. Truth be told, We can't really say there's no definitive point in history where we could nail down exactly when Luger ponds became lepre cons and the mention of lucre ponds themselves was only ever officially had in for Ferguson's legend. What we do know though is that at some point lepre con legends eventually merged with and adapted features of another household fairy said to haunt sellers and drink extensively, being unable to pin down precisely when lepre cons lucre ponds. I keep anyway, you can see why they changed from one to the other because they're so similar changed were at least able to identify what those changes actually were. I wonder what this seller fairy. It sounds like a party. I was thinking like a brownie or like a yeah, what's a brownie? It's like a little like house fairy or house kind of dwarf. There's a couple different like names for them, like a house spirit that can be like a little bit tricky but kinda if you look out for them they'll look out for you. So carry you have some major issues with the fai. I mean she doesn't, she doesn't fuck with the fai Kerry is a fan I was going to say, is that why you know so much about them or is the reason why you don't like them that much because you know so much about them is that I don't like them. I'm just cautious, cautious. Yes. So no tooth fairy coming in your house. Uh not even more. Nonetheless, there's an accident. Yeah. Archie Sherry was french. Absolutely. Mm Punk song. I was just gonna say we're all connected by the brain. I swear we have one break because I was just thinking the same thing april I kind of wonder if that that combination of the old like lubricant story kind of being combined with that. You know how spirit story like, I wonder when that came. Is it like the norman conquest because that other house spirit is more like a dramatic kind of story? Like is that when it kind of got grafted on or like when did that change happen? Yeah, you must need to see like a timeline of events here. Yeah, well I'll map it out and have it ready for the next boom. Sounds like a plan. I'm good with it at some point following their merger with another unnamed fairy, the appearance and descriptions of the leper con also changed. They retained their short appearance as was appropriate given the origins of their name. However, their name and its origins are also somewhat unclear. While there's a little argument that Ferguson's legend is when lepre Cons first came into being, some also believe their name is a play on the original Luker ponds and a combination of the phrase leath bergen, which meant shoemaker. There you go chris, see you can also hear it, there. Left Bergen. Right, So lepre con, the combination of names and meetings would certainly make sense as well, considering their later history is supposed fairy cobbler's not cobbler's cobbler's Grobler, delicious. Um wonderful big shoes they made were look at these little shoe Lace 9in. I hope if there if we're going to be cobbler gobblers, Okay. Oh, jesus welcome, welcome to late night. I'll be your host of venus with these cobbler gobblers. Oh chris and the cobbler's cobbler's. Yes, if we make a band that's the name chris and the cops gobblers. Now we've got another, now we've got more art, We got to get made cobbler, gotten the name of our band and our first hit track is called deep throat. Just call it Little shoes tart! Cherry tart, cherry peaches. We got a whole Album Ready to go right now. three minutes strawberry rhubarb. How you gonna feel rhubarb into a song french so we can figure it out. It will happen. Yeah, but I mean, how much, how much does a pair of leper con shoes cost? Like, I'm still thinking about rhubarb. Like wet ass rhubarb. Make that dude, wow. Yeah, you're working with that. What ass rhubarb you read today? In my head? In my head, the rhubarb song was going to be like a fast like two minute 14 2nd, like punk song and you went like the exact opposite direction. Yes, she went straight Ron to wrap. I mean, we're your chris and the cobbler gobblers, you're right, you're right, you're right. I have no control over these gobblers. I feel like I'm like a turkey. Turkey's Oh, Stacy's deep. No, we're not going to talk about that anyway, eventually, Yeah, lepre cons took on the persona. Short, bearded, wise and old men garbed in green with buckled shoes. Lepre cons were rarely depicted without their iconic pipe and hat, irish legends held to the idea that leprechauns were shoemakers and given their storied wealth. This actually makes sense to be a shoemaker among fairies is apparently to have one of the most lucrative professions because of their profession. This is why so many believe lepre Cons to be in possession of gold. I love gold, A sign of stay away from me. Gold, sign of wealth, befitting their positions from here is where the legend of people being able to steal or take gold from Lepre cons originates. So you just don't
