now we got in bands. When you think of the Civil War do you think concert? Do you think music do you think bands? Um A little bit like I think, is that barney or yankee doodle dandy? What is that? Oh mate I don't know, yankee doodle dandy. Like a feather in his head and called it macaroni. That's it, that is yankee doodle dandy. Which has a really funny history. Do you want to know that before we go into Civil War stuff? Sure um there was a club of people in in Britain and they were like the rich fancy boys that got to travel the world and they would go to italy and stuff and they had eaten macaroni which was you know foreign food and stuff and they were the fancy rich people and kind of very effeminate. So then there was they would make fun of them and they were called the macaroni club, that's what they call themselves. And then that became like oh you're a macaroni meaning like oh you're a pretty boy, and they would like dress up real nice and stick feathers in their hats and stuff like that. So that was the british, were making fun of um of Yankees who were trying to be british by dressing up nice and thinking that all they had to do is stick a feather in their cap and say the word macaroni and that meant they were like a fancy brit, that's what that song is, it's like mocking the people that want to be pretty voice, It's a good tune. Yeah, stuck a noodle in his cap and called it macaroni.
