mindfulness is a state of being aware in each moment. Often we experience worry and stress in our lives when we focus on the past or worry about the future. We can also experience stress by becoming overwhelmed with many tasks we need to complete and all the hustle and bustle of modern life. It can be easy to lose track of how you feel and go through life without ever really focusing on what you're doing. And while there was once a big push to be a multi tasker, recent research does show that multitasking can actually reduce productivity As much as 40%. So the answer to this problem is to practice mindfulness focusing on a single task at hand in the present moment can help you feel better, be more productive and enjoy more out of life. Of course there will be times that you need to plan for the future or analyze the past, but in general you'll seek to be aware of how you feel and what you are doing at the present moment.
