“Love is not a second-hand emotion”. So, what does it take to keep love alive and have a relationship not only last but flourish? We’ll explore the challenges of love and offer some helpful ideas to promote intimacy and handle rough patches. You’ll hear:

➢ that difficult times can be transformed into deeper love
➢ how men and women do indeed communicate differently
➢ well-tested ideas for singles who want to find the right relationship
➢ why past experiences impact how we perceive our partner
➢ the reason commitment is so integral to relationship
➢ what emotional infidelity is and isn’t – and why it’s important to know the difference

Brenda Wade, PhD is a San Francisco-based psychologist, author, television host, and producer. National audiences know Brenda from her syndicated TV program, Can this Marriage be Saved, her PBS shows, and her guest appearances on The Today Show. She is also a regular host on the Bay Area TV show, Black Renaissance. Her books include: Love Lessons: A Guide to Transforming Relationships, What Mama Couldn’t Tell Us About Love. Ed McClune, MFT works as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in couples counseling. He also works as a supervising process teacher for the esteemed Hoffman Institute, where he facilitates transformational workshops throughout the US and Europe. Formerly a San Francisco broadcast host for KBLX, “The Quiet Storm”, Ed maintains a private therapy practice in Marin and Sonoma, CA, where he currently lives with his family.
