Why Jacobson v. Mass. Does Not Authorize All Mandatory Vaccines
Mark analyzes why Jacobson v. Massachusetts does not authorize all mandatory vaccines. Jacobson is a 1905 Supreme Court decision in which the Court held that the Massachusetts law requiring residents to be vaccinated against smallpox was a legitimate exercise of the state's police power to protect the public health and safety of its citizens.

Reviewing the Ninth Circuit’s Recent Upholding of L.A. Eviction Moratorium
Mark reviewed the Ninth Circuit’s recent upholding of Los Angeles’ eviction moratorium against a Contracts Clause challenge. The Ninth Circuit refused to block the city’s moratorium on evictions during the coronavirus pandemic, saying the moratorium’s goal was fairly tied to protecting public health and doesn’t violate landlords’ rights under the Constitution’s Contract Clause. The Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles sued the city of Los Angeles on June 11, 2020, challenging the eviction ban, prohibitions on late fees and interest on unpaid rent, and moratorium on annual rent increases.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
