02 - 11 - 20 - Janet - Mefferd - Today - John Crotts (Graciousness) June Hunt (Domestic Abuse) It can be tempting sometimes to speak the truth about God's Word but discount the need to do it with love. Yet Scripture is clear that Christians must embody love and grace. How do we do it? Pastor John Crotts joins me to talk about it and his book, "Graciousness: Tempering Truth With Love." Plus: June Hunt from Hope for the Heart brings a biblical perspective to bear on the issue of domestic violence and what the Lord is really trying to teach us in Ephesians 5. That and more on Tuesday's JANET MEFFERD TODAY.

EP 194: John Crotts - Graciousness: Tempering Truth with Love I'm long overdue to have my friend John Crotts back on the podcast. This time around we discuss his encouraging new book 'Graciousness: Tempering Truth with Love' (Reformation Heritage Books, 2018). About the Book:  Sometimes we have important things to say to other Christians, but if we deliver our message ungraciously, they won’t benefit from it. Author John Crotts points out that God cares about how we say what we say: “It is not enough always to say the truth; you must also say the truth in love.” In Graciousness, the author addresses Christians who are zealous for God’s truth yet struggle to communicate it graciously— in a loving way. Filled with practical instruction and wise insights, this book includes a biblical description of graciousness, with a look at positive examples and commands from the Bible and methods for cultivating graciousness in various areas of the Christian life. Be equipped to speak the truth in love! About the Author:  John Crotts is the pastor of Faith Bible Church in Sharpsburg, Georgia. The Lord has blessed John and his wife, Lynn, with three daughters and a son: Charissa, Danielle, Chloe, and Josiah.
