Oh to the Em to the Gee, how do we market to the people who born between 1981 – 1996? They’re not little kids anymore. They got money. So what fires them up? What inspires them to make purchases? How do we market to people with values that don’t value our valuables? Uch.
Well, you have to understand that millennials love to challenge the status quo. They like resolving conflicts and feeling connected. They love technology and anything that has to do with change and growth. They are free-thinking, creative, and have a passion for learning. And most of all. They know. That buying lots of stuff isn’t going to make them happy. << Show Less

Marketing to Millennials playlist intro Hi, this is Coach Dan Gordon from Dan Gordon Enterprise, the coach's coach, the entrepreneur’s entrepreneur, and the verbal ambassador. Welcome to my playlist Marketing to Millenials.
If you want to market to millennials you can’t do it by telling them your product will make them feel superior, they don’t have to be smart to use it, it’s been around a long time, and how much happier they will be after they buy it. Won’t work. So what do you tell them? Well, I’ve amassed this playlist of some of the smartest people in the world of marketing and more specifically marketing to millennials. If you have a product or service that you want to get on a millennial’s radar screen you’re going to want to listen to what these smart people have to say.

Episode 7 The AWP: Millenials, Marketing and Morality-Where do We Go Next? Inspired by a recent read “Friction” by Rosenblum, we (my co-host and favorite Millenial-Skylar Chaput) takes look at the generations profound impact on the marketing and business practices. It’s the contention of the book that-as the most researched and largest living generation-millenials have had a profound influence on the way companies market themselves.

I take that one step further and suggest that there are broad sweeping economic and historical implications because not only has the generation forced ethics and social justice matters onto companies, but an entire generation is giving rise to the most moral but least spiritual young people of all time.

I’m interested in asking the question: what impact might this have on the Church and American culture rit large!

Application Question: are you attempting to reach the next generation why or why not? How might this value impact your investments (of all kinds: time, talent and treasure)?
