078: Is It Fear or Intuition? How to Tell the Difference. When I listen to my gut, I never regret it. Intuition is a powerful thing and should be respected. But sometimes, when facing a big decision, it's hard to tell the difference between intuition and fear.
First of all, when I'm talking about fear, I'm not talking about the healthy "don't walk down that dark alley alone at night" kind of fear. That kind of fear is aligned with your intuition and needs to be listened to. I'm talking about the kind of fear that doesn't serve you—the fear that holds you back, keeps you playing small and gets in the way of you making decisions in your life and business that will move you forward.
Now, I personally believe that we are all put here on this planet to live the best, most fulfilling life we can. We are here to grow and learn and serve others. That belief is one of the reasons why I'm so passionate about helping photographers thrive in their businesses.
Being an artist is a gift. It's a calling. You are the only person on the planted with YOUR specific gift. No other person in the entire world can see or capture things the exact way that you do. As a photographer, you are called to share whatever it is you see and capture with the world.
In this episode, we dive into the differences between intuition and fear.

077: What Is the Difference Between Group Coaching and a Mastermind? Have you ever wondered what the difference is between group coaching programs and masterminds? I've been in the entrepreneurial world for a while, and these are terms that have been popping up in that space for years. Lately I've seen more and more photographers offering masterminds and group coaching programs, and so I thought it would be helpful for you to know what those things are and how they are different. If you are looking to reach the next level in your business, knowing the difference may be helpful.
Full disclosure, I run a group coaching program called the Six-Figure Studio. I've also participated in a number of high-end group coaching programs and in some very high-end masterminds. Both experiences have been amazing for me and for my business, but they are not for everyone and are very different. Tune in to this episode to learn more!

075: Day 4 Lighting Series: What You Need to Know Welcome to the final episode of the lighting series! On the first day, we talked about what relying exclusively on natural light is actually costing you. Then on day two, we talked about how a lot of us put ourselves through that stress because we have some fears and misconceptions about what working with strobes and flash means. Yesterday I talked about how fear is really the thing that holds people back from learning this amazing skill. Lighting seems hard, but what I've discovered through teaching lighting to myself and then thousands of other photographers around the world, is that you actually already know most of what you need to in order to get started.
So then what do you actually need to learn in order to be successful with using strobes and flash in your business? That's what we're going to talk to you about in this final episode of the lighting series!

074: Day 3 Lighting Series: You Already Know the Hardest Part Welcome to day 3 of the lighting series! On day 1, we talked about what the actual cost of working exclusively with natural light is. Then on day 2, we talked about a lot of the fears and misconceptions photographers have about working with strobes and flash.
I ended yesterday's lesson talking about how most photographers already know the hardest part of learning to work with strobes and flash. In this episode, I share exactly what I mean by that!

073: Day 2 Lighting Series: Fears and Misconceptions Welcome to Day 2 of the Lighting Series! We started the conversation off by talking about what dealing with low light or bad light is actually costing you and your business. That cost goes beyond just impacting your photos. Yes, bad or low light will have an impact on the images you create. But it also causes stress, hurts your brand and ultimately hurts your business.
As you may or may not know, I was a natural light photographer for about 12 years. I was really stuck in this cycle of beautiful weather meant beautiful photos, not beautiful weather meant bad photos for a very long time.
The reason that I stayed stuck for so long was because I had a lot of fear and misconceptions around artificial lighting—what it looked like and what it meant to work with it. I know I’m not alone—many photographers do! In this episode, I dive right into those fears and misconceptions.

072: Day 1 Lighting Series: What Is the Actual Cost of Natural Light? If you want to be a great photographer and make money, you must know and understand how to use light. As part of the lighting series on the podcast, I'll address some of the concerns and questions that come up most often around lighting. I want to put some of the myths that I hear about light to rest, and hopefully this inspires and empowers you to think about artificial light in a new way.
In this episode, I share with you the cost of bad light, like what dealing with bad light is actually costing you as a professional photographer.
