Why are you over thinking everything 🤔? Believe in yourself and own your true value. Season 2 Episode 57

HOST: Sheila Glavee
GUEST: Robin Sacks

Robin helps smart people get out of their own way so they can show-up with real confidence, stress less, and accomplish more, regardless of the situation.

By teaching clients how to shift their self-talk, body language, and mental-game, they feel more calm, show-up with more confidence, and feel more in control of their stressors.

Why is That Important?

Because confidence, self-talk, and effective communication skills are the keys to mastering real-life situations in the moment - any moment. And nobody ever teaches us those skills!

The great thing to know is - these skills can be learned.

Professionally, Robin is a confidence coach, professional speaker, author and motivator. Personally, she is a mom, wife, and friend.

Robin has facilitated personal and professional development workshops internationally for companies including Microsoft, Panera, and American Greetings.

Her professional experience includes being an on-air talent for NBC and ABC network affiliates. An award-winning journalist herself, she has also trained Emmy award nominees and an Emmy award winner.

Coaching clients range from young athletes to Fortune 500 executives.

Her book, "Get Off My Bus!: How to Get Clarity, Get in the Driver's Seat, and Get Moving in Your Life!," was nominated for Small Business Trends' Small Business Book of 2010 and is available at all the usual suspects, including Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
She rose above all obstacles in life and emerged very successful Named one of the Top 50 Speakers Globally by “Real Leaders,” Dr. Jessica Houston travels nationally and internationally inspiring thousands of college students, corporate executives, and conference attendees every year. As a transformational speaker and award winning author, her messaging and platform are heavily influenced by her experience in leadership development, mental health, and higher education, which expands more than a decade. She currently serves as a professor at Purdue University and owns and operates a successful personal and professional development training company.

"As someone who has surmounted experiences with poverty, depression and intimate partner violence, I have not always been as confident as I am today", she says.

"There were many instances when I wanted to pursue a promotion, but fear and self-doubt held me back. Although it appeared that I was living a great life, I knew that I was operating beneath my potential. My life changed drastically, when I addressed the counterproductive habits that were impeding my growth".

Dr Houston loves teaching coaches, authors, and speakers how to build authority, speak on more stages, and monetize their expertise.

Listen to how she overcame all life's obstacles and rose to the top.

Dream it, Write it out, Work it out. Time with successful Broadway performer Joseph Corella. SEASON 2 EPISODE 54

HOST: Sheila Glavee

GUEST: Joseph Corella

Using his dance, theatre, and fitness background, Joseph has traveled the globe, spreading this love and understanding of the importance of movement to such places as Japan, France, England, and Canada, as well as dozens of cities across the United States.  Joseph’s connection to movement started in his early childhood with extensive training in jazz, tap, contemporary, and ballet. At thirteen, he became a member of famed choreographer Marguerite Derricks’ prestigious dance company, Tremaine Teen Company, and shortly thereafter appeared in Disney’s Geppetto alongside pop superstar Usher.
In 1997, Joseph was named American Dance Awards’ Teen Male Dancer of the Year. Soon after, the band Tropic Zone was created around Joseph and 2 others, with whom he toured extensively, including the US.

Building on his dance and vocal talent, Joseph studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute and honed his comedic skills with Upright Citizens Brigade. He debuted on Broadway in All Shook Up and subsequently toured the US with productions of Grease (Dance Captain) and West Side Story. Other theatrical credits include: Surf: The Musical, CATS, Altar Boyz, Guys and Dolls, and much more.

Joseph has been featured as a choreographer in the hit HBO special A Quinceañera Story.  Joseph was also featured on NBC’s The Today Show promoting this HBO Doc.  As well, he teamed up with fitness guru, Cassey Ho of Blogilates and Pop Pilates creator, for a YouTube collaboration, seen by her 4.4 million followers.

Joseph has worked with Rebel Wilson where he choreographed a CATS routine dubbed “Catzercize” which has been shared by Rebel and her 6 million + followers.  That viral video was soon followed up with a choreographed routine to “Greased Lightnin” from Grease, complete with Rebel piloting a pantomime race car.

Joseph has been seen on television in Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place, MTV Dance Marathon, and the CW’s Hart of Dixie.  Joseph’s choreography has been seen on the CW’s hit TV show Hart of Dixie, MTV Video Music Awards, the Neon Trees music video Feel Good, 98 Degree’s music video Microphone, Julie Brown’s hit musical Homecoming Queen’s Got a Musical, I Totally Know What You Did Last Donna Summer starring Drew Droege and much more!

Joseph's proudest accomplishment to date is creating 567BROADWAY! an all-levels dance fitness class. This idea was born out of Joseph’s desire to create, encourage, and provide an inclusive sense of community where EVERYONE could have a safe space to dance and start their fitness journeys. 567BROADWAY! is a fun dance fitness experience that fuses the magic of Broadway with cardio and strength training to give you a full-body workout! Featuring hit songs such as “One” (A Chorus Line), “Born to Hand Jive” (Grease), “Bend and Snap” (Legally Blonde), “You Can’t Stop The Beat” (Hairspray), and more, ALL LEVELS WELCOME! Trust us, you haven’t lived until you’ve done choreographed squats to “Bend and Snap”!

Seen but not Heard. For 57 years her life was like that on a Hamsters wheel. SEASON 2 EPISODE 52

HOST: Sheila Glavee

GUEST: Patricia Love

For 57 years Patricia's life had been like that on a Hamsters wheel until she figured out how to step off the wheel and, she did that first by acknowledging that she was not perfect and that there was a problem that needed fixing.

Patricia is an Author, Women’s Empowerment Coach, and Practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

She was raised by an alcoholic mother and a father who abandoned her mentally. She was raped by a boyfriend and then a stranger. All these had serious impact on her life growing up, resulting in negative behavioural patterns.

For a long time she had low self-esteem, low self-worth, she felt she was never good enough and always tried to get peoples attention. She was neither seen nor heard.

She shared on PODCAST with SHEILA how she was able to break this pattern and gain her freedom in confidence amongst others.

Patricia said, until we acknowledge there is a problem that needs fixing, we will keep doing the same thing over and over again and getting the same result without really changing anything and this usually leaves us in a sorry state. She stated that in fixing her problem, she had to give herself a reason not to go back to that sorry state which was her lowest point. She emphatically stated that your "WHY" must be a good one else you will find yourself going back to that detestable state you are trying to avoid.

If you were inspired by Patricia's story and by the work we are doing, then do us the honours by sharing this message. Someone needs to know that if Patricia was able to step of the Hamsters wheel then they can too.

Have a brilliant week from the desk of PODCAST with SHEILA.
