I talk about the Self-coaching Model which was created by Brooke Castillo, Founder of the Life Coach School. Full instructions and everything you need to know about this model can be found on the Life Coach School website. The steps involved are briefly outlined below:
1 Circumstance (this is the trigger - write down what's bothering you)
2 Thoughts (write down what thoughts you have about your circumstance)
3 Feelings (use one word answers here - write down how the above makes you feel)
4 Actions (write down what you do, or don't do as a result of your feelings towards your circumstance)
5 Results (write down the consequences of your above actions, inactions or reactions)
Remember your results will confirm your thoughts. If you want to change the result, change your thoughts.
